I was too, actually. That's why I changed it.

For instance, just this morning, I sent out a fax.
I dialed the number and it rang. Then, a confirmation sheet came out, reading..... "Fax Sent."
I immediately started jumping up and down uncontrollably. It was the greatest fax I had ever sent. The joy was overwhelming.
Then, as fate would have it, I tore my mcl, acl, patella tendon and was mocked mercilessly by all of my coworkers, who are Giants fans.

Let's just say that from here on out, I'm taking it one fax at a time and am going to have to learn to temper my enthusiasm.

Randall Cunningham rushed for a little under a thousand one year.

I think it was the Patriots that had multiple 1000 yard rushers, but I don't remember the year.

I'm pretty sure there's never been a QB go over 100 yards. Cunningham had i think 942 in '89 or '90. Bobby Douglas of the Bears had more, i think 968?

I think Curtis Enis and Rashaan Salaam combined for 3,000 yards one year, didn't they?

'76 Steelers had 2 1000 rushers...

No NFL QB has gone over 1000 yards rushing (Bobby Douglass came closest), so my answer would be Chance Harridge, QB for the Air Forcee Academy.

You know what the really great thing about this thread is?

I have no idea what the answers are.

Didn't Jamal Lord have 1000 rushing last year as well?

Yep, had 1400+ rushing (compared to 1200 for Harridge); therefore, Harridge probably reached 1,000 yards later in the season. :D

I was thinking for the season. Vicky had 777 last year.

When Spurrier coached the Tampa Bay Bandits in the USFL in the late 80's (88 or 89) he had two backs with 1000 yds. Don't know about the NFL.

Last team with two 1,000 yd. rushers

Drum roll please......

The last team with two 1,000 yard rushers in the same season was...

The 1985 Cleveland Browns!!!!

Kevin Mack - 1,104 yards
Earnest Byner - 1,002 yards

What do I win?

I'm thinking Larry Csonka (sp) and Mercury Morris rushed for over 1,000 yards each during that 17 win season for Miami, but I can't remember what year that was.

You're right about the year Section 11. In 1972, Larry Csonka had 1,117 yards and Mercury Morris had an even 1,000 yards. Jim Kiick never had a 1,000 yard rushing season for Miami.

I'm pretty sure there was a year when 2 of the 3 Bronco running backs - Gary, Anderson, and Davis, had 1,000 each.
