I am convinced that this guy actually thinks he is the smartest coach in the league. I am not going to spend a lot of time listing his faults as I think it has been hashed out in numerous threads, but I think the thing that really dawned on me is that he really thinks he is going to outsmart NFL caliber coaches week after week.
Example 1. He continually drafts lame ass small school try hard guys thinking that he is some sort of QB guru who can get these guys to OVERPERFORM. Has he ever hand picked a top tier guy? Say what you want about Leinart, he was not given as much rope as these other guys have been. I for one am glad Leinart is gone, but it was clear from day one that Whiz did not like the guy and gave him no chance to succeed.
It bugged Whiz that Warner was the best option. He played mind games with the QB position so much that Warner retired instead of coming back to a team that was poised to compete for a championship.
Everyone has faults. I'm glad we've had Whiz, but unless he realizes his... he will be fired.
