Whiz did point out that Williams didn't fumble in two years. That's been a problem with the Cardinals, he reminded.

So you are telling me the Cardinals can't afford ESPN Insider and just went with whatever ESPN said for their "Scouting"

So Whiz has no idea what a player he now confirms was #15 on his draft board actually did in college.

No words can express this right now.

yeah... this is a terrifying admission of ignorance about who you just selected with your 2nd rounder.

would have LOVED to see a reporter say, "uh, Wiz, that's not true. He actually fumbled 5 times in 2 seasons" and see Wiz's response...

good freaking lord.

Google works wonders...

BLACKSBURG — Ryan Williams sat dejected on Virginia Tech’s bench as North Carolina’s players celebrated wildly on the Lane Stadium field.

Williams, the 14th-ranked Hokies’ star tailback, lost a fumble deep in Tech territory with two minutes left in the fourth quarter, and Casey Barth kicked a 21-yard field goal as time expired to give the Tar Heels a 20-17 upset win Thursday night.

6 times and no, the softball Arizona media didn't bother to fact check him.

ESPN stats say he hasn't...

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=381565

What is with these dramatic threads/comments? Are these things really that big of a deal. If he has fumbled once in the last 2 years does it make that much difference?

Read what has been written. He actually was one of the top fumblers per carry in this draft. ANY real scouting report tells you that.

For the benefit that don't know venture outside of ESPN

He seriously has no clue that he just drafted one of the top fumblers per carry. Mind boggling.

he's fumbled 6 times in 1 and half years... and yes... it makes a BIG difference is one of the main reasons Wiz likes a guy is because he doesn't put the ball on the ground... when the reality is HE DOES. It means our scouts/coaches have no clue what they're talking about.

Yes, the guy fumbled 6 times in ~420 touches, his reputation is a guy with security issues.. the fact that the team is unaware of that is quite worrysome, you have to wonder how much film they have actually seen on the kid.. or if they even saw fit to google him?

Whiz claims a lot of things, but he still ends up in shotgun down by 14 with 5 minutes to go. Same old same old, I think this his last year if we don't see the playoffs. I don't think we make the playoffs if Bulger starts our season.

In defense of Whiz on fumbles, some Williams' stats have him with zero fumbles in college.

Yeah in defense of Whiz, why would you watch game tape or research the #15 player on your board.

The one you claim you drafted cause he doesn't fumble when in reality he is one of the worst in the draft.

Uhm. OMFG. How in the hell does the coach not know the actual stats of a guy they spent a top 40 pick on, and then go so far as to tout an incorrect stat. It's one terrible thing to NOT know the guy's stats...it's quite another to be excited about the false stat.

You are the COACH. Your scouts were all over this kid and they really are telling you that he never fumbled? Or did they not tell you? Or did you think you drafted the other kid who really didn't fumble?

Ay Carumba!

LOL This is awesome, someone handed him ESPN.com's stats and he ran with it.
