Do you have an excel document and a formula on this?

The Packers are an easy team to like and a hard team to hate. They have no rich owner but are basically owned by the fans. They have a long history in the NFL with some memorable games like the Ice Bowl. They are forever linked with the legend Vince Lombardi. They are from a small community and named after a meat packing plant. That is blue collar all the way. And they currently have the legendary QB of the NFL who at 38 is going strong. They surely have some if not the most loyal fans in football. When I think of NFL football my first thoughts jump to da Bears and the Green Bay Packers.

I don't think Boston fans have hatred towards the Lakers either.
Well you are wrong. Boston fans hate, hate, hate-
the Lakers in basketball, the Yankees in baseball & the Canadians in hockey. There isn't any real focus of hate in football but the closest there is, is the Jets.

Why did they cheer Kobe then a few years ago?

Well there you go.. How could anyone argue this argue this anymore? A video game was made about it.. Im also so glad I went 16-0 on Madden this year and won the Super Bowl with the Cardinals.. Cuz, well, it translated well into real life..

For starters, there probably has never been a bigger rivalry in NBA history.

Dude, he's saying ridiculous things on the same level as you saying you love basketball but didn't know there was a Lakers/Celtics rivalry.

Yeah. It was the 13th loss in an 18 game losing streak.

Yes, completely. No bigger insult could be made.

Gee, you do know that Kobe gets MVP chants in many buildings he goes to, don't you? Why do you think it was news and that you heard of it when it happened in Boston?

What ever you say.. I mean, its not like we havent been debating this for over 24 hours now.. Some of us have setclear peramitors od what a rivalry is, but that part goes unnoticed.. Only the laker fans with their warped sense of self entitlement seem to thrive on this so called rivalry.. But go ahead and tell me exactly how it is.. lol

I dont know nothin' about that. I've been following global politics and foreign affairs since the mid-70s and never heard anything about that.

I googled some stuff and discovered that the Cowboys and 49ers had quite a rivalry in the past 20 years.

I also found a one-sided rivalry between lions and antelopes. I was wondering why Aboriginal tribesmen cheer for the antelopes. Must be that home-Serengeti advantage.

lakers v celtics was huge

there are tons of players and teams that are just loathed in both cities

this was like a 30 year rivalry and although it's cooled a lot with boston going into the tank recently, the hate is still there

i was a big larry bird fan growing up and pretty much hate the lakers because of it

the celtics are the only team in the league that has a historical winning averge against the lakers

hell, the celtics/sixers were pretty heated as well - however boston loathted the lakers so much they were crying for the sixers to "beat la!"

When you think of the greatest rivalries in all of professional sports, the Celtics-Lakers rivalry must come to mind for several reasons.

The Celtics (16) and Lakers (14, yes Minneapolis must be included) have won more titles than any other teams in NBA history. Can't you see Red Auerbach puffing his victory cigar after one of the six Lakers Finals losses to Boston in the 1960s? No longtime fan of either franchise can forget the storied battles between Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain. During the 1980s, there were the bitter games led by the Celtics' Larry Bird and the Lakers' Magic Johnson during either the Finals or on CBS' Sunday afternoon broadcasts.

"I hated those [expletives]," Bryant said. "I couldn't stand them, man. Are you kidding me? Bird. [Kevin] McHale. [Danny] Ainge. Ainge was like a little pest, man. I couldn't stand the guy.

"But you grow older and you understand that it's just beautiful basketball. As a kid, you just don't like them. But then, as you get older, you understand the beauty and the rivalry and the sense of appreciation that you have for it."

Said Celtics forward Kevin Garnett: "If you don't know about the Lakers-Celtics history, then you really don't know basketball."

Do you have to be a Lakers fan to recognize a Lakers rivalry?

Do you have to be a Buckeye or Wolverine to recognize Michigan/Ohio State?

Has a tint of a reason why I dislike the Suns as well. CRYBABY AINGE. I detest that man. McHale? He's a dbag of the highest order. I grudgingly respect Larry Bird but I wouldn't pee on him if he were on fire.

Why'd you have to go and bring that up?

hell, the celtics/sixers were pretty heated as well - however boston loathted the lakers so much they were crying for the sixers to "beat la!"

That's probably one of the most crazy things ever...it was in 82? Sixers were winning in game seven at boston and the Beat LA chant started from boston fans trying to pump the sixers up to go get the Lakers. I must have been 9 years old then. That rivalry colored my childhood.
