Here's my prediction: If Noel/McLemore/Oladipo are all gone by #5, the Suns will trade down.

The key is Len and Porter. I'm rooting for Len to go #1 and hoping Washington takes Porter.

This draft seems to hinge on who is drafted first, Len or Noel. Draft Net has Noel falling to Phoenix. It will be interesting. As I'm not sold on any of the picks at the top, I wouldn't mind if the Suns traded down.

Porter is taller, much longer, quicker and more athletic. Yes, Porter is getting knocked on his athleticism but that's viewed through the lens of a top pick. He has just slightly above average athleticism and that's the only thing keeping him from being a highly sought after number one pick. Otto has the length AND the feet to guard up and down, Dudley's lack of lateral quickness limits the kind of player he can cover. Neither of them is great at creating their own shot but again, Porter is far superior in that regard. Dudley is a better shooter from distance but that's a skill he developed after he left college and there's no reason to think Porter can't improve there too. He's certainly improved his mid-range game.

Porter has been compared to Tashaun Prince, but I think a more apt comparison might be with Danny Manning. He could be somewhat like the post-injury Danny Manning.

1. Len
2. Oladipo
3. Porter
4. .... This is where everything changes. The Bobcats could select McLemore and either keep him or use it to trade down with some other team (Sac possibly). Or they can be smart and take Noel since they don't have a single big man worth a damn on their roster.

Actually, that's not a bad comparison.

It's not looking good for us to get Oladipo unless this is a smokescreen:

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA
Supreme confidence of other lottery teams that Orlando will take Indiana's Victor Oladipo with No. 2 pick. Still, Magic discussing trades.

I'm also reading we could trade down if he's not available and grab MCW. Apparently, MCW destroyed McCollum in his workout here.

Well, I'm hoping that's a smokescreen too. I don't mind the trading down but unless we're also picking up an unprotected pick in a future draft, we shouldn't be anywhere near the spot where I'd be happy drafting MCW (somewhere out of the lottery).

God I would puke if we passed up on the opportunity to draft McLemore and traded down to get MCW.

It depends on what the Suns get in return. I'm just not sold on the top of this draft. The Suns would have to get something back to trade down.
