pretty sure they did not "luck" into Palmer...anybody with eyes could see he was not the issue in Oakland... dude has always had the skills.

Absolutely, but the lucked into Oakland being willing to let him go. The blind squirrel finding a nut once in a while thing :)

Maybe just maybe he played his way on to the roster, I mean BA doesn't usually carry 3 QBs anyway. Maybe he just earned the spot. I agree with the thought that BA thinks DS gives us the best chance to win. Once we are mathematically eliminated they will try all the younger guys out. But until then there is still a chance to turn this thing around...mathematically.

Don't you think he would have exhibited this ability or any competence whatsoever in the last six years or for the last two teams he played with?

Wasn't the whole excuse with Gabbert that (1) he didn't have enough quality coaching to settle into a scheme and (2) he wasn't properly protected and had enough good offensive players around him?

Has that changed now where you feel like he has a chance for success? He's historically bad.

I think that you are probably right that Gabbert is not the answer for being the Cards QB for the future, However, I just feel that he is better than Stanton and gives us a better chance to win some games. IMO its on Keim for not getting and developing a young qb in the draft over the past years (and please never mention TE Logan Thomas).
