...........about the Miami game:
1. Team won't be focused. I know they'll say all the right things, but after reading/hearing all the accolades, I think it will very hard not to overlook the Dolphins. And then you throw in the fact that four days later we'll be playing a Division rival on national tv.
2. Reggie Bush. If, and it's a big if, he plays, I see him as a threat against a defense as aggressive as ours. Worried about screens and drop offs. If he's out, I think we'll be okay. DW does give me hope, however.
3. KK and the running game should continue to improve, but we KNOW an INT or fumble is bound to happen, law of averages. How KK responds will let us know if he's "the man".
4. The ref factor. It's probably just me, but I never think we get a fair shake.

If we do win it will be because we're just a better team. Though we know the better team doesn't always win. Other reasons.
1. RH proves that he's a vg DC, and his gameplan shuts down Reggie Bush.
2. KW keeps the team focused.
3. OL, with time, continues to improve.
4. RW (see OL) continues to improve.
5. As Las Vegas says, "We're the better team".

I share you concern.

This has trap game written all over it. Home game, against a low ranking team, all the praise the team has been getting, injuries quietly piling up, and of course the "real" refs coming back.

I think this game will be close, and not a "sure thing" not even close.

This team SHOULD win this game, but we will see. This is the NFL. Any given Sunday.

I'm always nervous. The past has humbled me and I see every opponent as a threat :D

Horrible isn't it?

I didn't feel the Cardinals had the game "in hand" last week till 3min. left in the 4th quarter.

I just keep saying....anything can happen this is the Cardinals, heck I have SEEN it happen.

With the Cardinals it is not over till the gun goes off, and the refs up in the booth turn off their monitors.

Were Cardinal fans. Were always nervous.

But I don't think we have to worry about a let down. This team is just starting to get recognition, and I think they will be fueled by the taste of success.

Now just let Kolb continue to improve and stay health!

Heard this on the "In the Red Zone" the other day...

When Coach Whiz was asked how he's keeping the players grounded, especially, in light of all the praise their getting, he said he just tells them (1-6.) That gets the message across real clear.

Look, this team is good. NOT because we're saying it, NOT because the players themselves are saying it BUT...Because around the league they're saying it. Not just here and there but all around the league. It's like draft day. When ALL the announcers/experts say, "Uh-oh!", my worry-alarm goes off big-time. But when they say...GOOD PICK! I simply trust their judgement.

Miami is the next "test". I expect us to play hard for 60 min. and then we'll see. What else can you ask for?

Mark in SC :)

FAN OF THE STILL UNDEFEATED ARIZONA CARDINALS! :D

I am not so nervous. The team showed a different quality last Sunday. Horton schemed the defense against one of the best backs in the NFL in McCoy and he did not hurt us. Bush is not that different than McCoy.

As long as they remain focused and stick to the game plan they should be okay.

Being a Cardinal fan, you are right on for sure. Like Yogi Berra once said "It ain't over till its over."

You are nervous like most of us because it has been decades since we have ever been in this position. Here is a factoid from USA Today. 87% of teams who start 3-0 make the playoffs.

Absolutely. As was pointed out in another thread, even when we are leading 24-6 in the 4th quarter, who here isn't a little nervous?

I would love to see them give Peterson a WR screen with Fitz and Floyd blocking in front of him from the trips formation. If the coverage is press man, then you suck them in with Peterson's move, which frees up Fitz.

Great call vs. Miami's secondary.

With the parity in the league, I honestly don't know how anyone would be feeling comfortable heading into any game early in the season.

I would be less surprised if MIA beat us than I was when we beat NE and MIN beat SF.

bump ... I am worried as well.

What sucks about having a good defense with a mediocre offense is the other team seems like they are always in the game. Miami with their running game should be a real challenge.
