I'm generally a "look for the silver lining"/"Glass Half Full" kind of guy. Sarve forcing Kerr out has overwhelmed that. It is really depressing without the slightest compensation. Even the KT deal was at least a function of economic necessity.

The damage to the Suns goes well beyond the Amare situation. I no longer have any faith in the Suns top management and they have a huge number of tough decisions coming up.

1. SMALL IMPROVMENTS OR BLOW UP THE TEAM. It is not clear the Suns have the talent to get to the finals, but the recent record of teams blowing up their teams is not good. The Wolves and the the Grizzlies do not reasssure.

2. EXPIRING CONTRACTS: This is that last contract year for J-Rich and in another Nash, Barbosa, and Dudly quilifies for a qualified deal.

Free agency will get complicated as Frys opts out and Amundsen is off contract just to start.

It just sucks that our future is such a big question mark at this point when just 3 days ago we were seemingly over all this "old sarver" antics and headed in a surprisingly amazing direction.

I felt this way going into the season> It went away and now it's starting to come back again.

Gawd what a bunch of downers. Nothing has even happened yet besides losing the lackluster Kerr....big deal.

If it bothers so much, perhaps avoid these threads? You're obtuse optimism is just as annoying. Perhaps you don't think Kerr is such a big loss, many here do. In addition, some are also able to see past just that move to see the larger implications of Kerr and Griffin leaving, and the larger problems facing the organization. It's ok it you aren't able to realize that, but keep it to yourself.

I dont know either Irish, I felt that in many ways this year was our last great chance with this team but I truly and sincerely hope I'm wrong.

I dont know who to believe on the Kerr thing. On one hand I can see why Sarver wouldn't want to open the checkbook for Kerr because of the Shaq thing and other bonehead moves Kerr made, but more and more insiders keep saying Sarver is just cheap so you know, who actually knows what's going on behind the scenes.

I still believe that if we had committed to a role-playing Center at all times (even when Lopez was out) instead of being obsessed with the "spread out the floor on offense" 7' light Forward, we would have been stronger for, and in, the playoff run.

But our Suns have always reverted to playing light at Center and shooting from 20' to 23' feet away on offense.

Nevertheless, just remind the taunters that we lost to the team that won it all for back-to-back Championships.

That doesn't comfort me anymore than the fact that the Cardinals have been knocked off by the Superbowl Champs the past two years either. :(

It demonstrates an owner that does not have a clue. Kerr was finally starting to get it and was making some decent moves. The timing of this is horrible.

Honestly, as a Suns fan of 35 years, I have no hope. You can't fire or trade an owner. It is the worst thing that could have happened to this franchise. I loved JC, but he absolutely failed in delivering his trust to someone who cared.
