If you have an unlimited data plan with VZW you only have a few days left to upgrade to a new device at 2yr contract pricing. After that...... You will be forced to pay the unsubsidised price if you want to keep it.

Pretty bold move on their part IMO.

Verizon revealed on its Web site that customers with unlimited data plans would have to purchase phones at full retail price when they upgrade after June 28 to stay locked into the unlimited plans. That could mean buying an iPhone for $649, well above the discounted Verizon price of $200.

So I wonder how that will affect other carriers. If one can get by with it, don't the others usually follow?

Just got the Galaxy S3. Effing dope phone. Love it. Kept my unlimited data by pre-ordering before the change.

Gonna make the most of that for the next couple of years with this bad boy. Daughter now using the old droid for wi-fi game playing, challenging Mom and Dad to WordFeud games galore. :)

Okay, not much bigger. My cousin's boyfriend has the Samsung Galaxy Note - the thing is like a freaking tablet. LOL
