Wow, this is like a war room.
It is going to be Beanie Wells.
Larry Engish: 15%
Knowshon: 12%
Clay Matthews: 10%
Pick: Larry English, Knowshon will be there too but Cards decide to go defense first.
Are you kidding? Have you ever seen him play??? He's one of THE BEST blocking TE's to come out in years which is exactly why we need him. He would be huge for our offense
Great? Compared to what?
Yeah, but we can grab a blocking TE in rounds 3-5.
True, but he can do more than just block. He has 112 receptions and 1450 yards over a four year college career. Those are some good stats for a tight end.
I like the guy. When he goes out for passes he just dwarfs the guys covering him. The guy is huge. He will have no trouble playing at the 275-280 lb. range in a couple of years. It is rare to get a guy with his size and blocking ability who can also run and has soft hands.

I have the top remaining players in order listed as:
11. Sintim OLB
15. Wood G-C
16. English DE/OLB
20. Beatty OT
22. Mack C- G
25. Unger C- G
26. A Brown RB
28. Pegues FS
30. Delmas FS
31. McCoy RB
32. D Brown RB
Like most boards, the BRS one is "fluid" (for example, I've been reviewing Combine results and may drop English down due to a relatively slow forty time). So - at this snapshot in time - I'd be inclined to take Sintim.
But that all could change.
(Note - I thought the mock had Pettigrew gone by #31. In any case, I had him rated #29).
In the mock he has the Cardinals picking Pettigrew even though he has English and Brown as higher probabilities. Look at the comment underneath. He does that a couple times, going with his gut feeling.
I'm glad you have Beatty rated up there. He'd be a solid choice as well. I like his potential, as well as Unger, but he's more of a mid second rounder. Where do you put Connor Barwin? It's also interesting where you rate Pagues and Brown. Pagues' 40 was slow as well. I think allmost everyone has Smith, Delmas and Johnson rated ahead of him.

Compared to all the other TEs in the draft this year.
I heard Gil Brandt on NFL radio today say he was the best blocker of all the TEs in the draft this year. Thats good enough for me.

Out of that group i voted for Johnson. He'd be ideal for the predator position on defense. Although Mack would be a good choice as well. Pettigrew is good but now that Pope and Patrick are back he's not really needed. Brown is good as well but you can get Rashad Jennings inround 2 and he could be a better RB than Brown. To me ,Larry English is limited athletically,Johsnon isn't.
AMEN :notworthyWhat does Pope and Patrick being back have to do with Pettigrew? Is it that he have faith in Pope or Patrick or are you basing it on a numbers game? To be honest I am not sure how Patrick or Pope has put faith in anyone, they sure havent for me.
Who cares about athletic ability if you dont have the heart, brain, or skill to actually use it. Who cares about athletic ability if you dont use it to actually produce, which MJ didnt.
again, show me where he didn't produce and not just because Mike Mayock said he tooks plays off. What do you want? 17.5 TFL and 9 sacks is not producing? That doesn't count QB hurries either.Who knows how many of those he had all while being the focal of the opposing teams OL. Maybe he had to have 37 TFL and 26 sacks for you guys to be happy. What does Pope and Patrick being back have to do with Pettigrew? Whats everyones obsession with Michael Johnson?
Quentin Moses was athletic as hell, how'd he turn out?

He's 7th in Gtech history with 19 sacks.Only 10 players in NCAA history have more than his 3 blocked kicks. 31 TFL which is 16th in Tech history. Outstanding memeber of most of Tech's special teams. Forced 10 fumbles during career. How are these the numbers of a guy who didn't produce?
