No one has talked about Paris’ first game ever against Montez Sweat.

Super intrigued.

I expect the Cards to be competitive early. I’m worried early in the season the first string D will tire and there’s a huge drop off beyond them. I expect Tune to start and this will be a good test of whether he can be lured into rookie mistakes. The secondary was challenged last season to produce turnovers and they’re weaker this season. They looked terrible in zone during the preseason. Washington likes to throw between the numbers. If the defense doesn’t play more alertly than it did in preseason, this will be death by a thousand cuts in the middle. Washington will run enough to present a balanced offense. The Cards must fill the gap as effectively as they did in the first preseason game. Is a win possible? This is the NFL, anything is possible, but I fear a winning preseason may have distorted expectations.

I agree with your post, Harry. I want to add I think Gannon will get blasted after week 1 for being a bit to conservative trying to protect Tune.

I totally agree with this. IMO the Cardinals best hope is to have success running the ball with Conner and controlling the clock. The Cards have to keep their defense off the field as much as possible or things will get ugly fast.

Really, really started to get worried about the 1st game.

I mean if we just get run off the field.. Like 48-0... what happens then? Shots fired on Hardy Drive?

Please let there be divine intervention on behalf of the Cardinals on 09/10/23.

Gannon's media updates are annoying.

Apparently Gaines' injury was so gastly they wouldn't show a replay.

Anyone remember Lecitus Smith?
He went from stalemating Aaron 'freaking' Donald to last few minutes of the game scrub.

A precipitous fall.
