Just finished watching this. I thought it was a tad long but I really liked this movie. Glad I bought it. I would definitely watch this again.
Question. Was this based on a book and are their more stories?
As cheese said, there is a book that preceded the movie, but the two are completely different other than 1) the title; 2) the 10th man statement that the Israeli intelligence officer made.
The book is really a collection of survivor stories 10 years after the end of the war, pieced together to provide a bigger picture. There's the story from a Chinese doctor on how the outbreak began, Chinese-Indian human smugglers who talked about getting people over the Tibetan mountains, the great panic, the retooling for a war economy, the various battles (Yonkers, Moscow, Hope, etc.), international tensions, finding survivors behind the lines, so on and so forth.
Awesome book.
