Uhh...not sure what to think. I am guessing it is nothing like the book, only thing in common is the zombies.

If zombies were like what is portrayed in the mini-trailer, there would be no survivors!!!

I'll probably go see this but..... It will not even come close to the book and my expectations are at an all time low...

Didn't realize the full trailer was out... Might be better than I expected... I don't think the book would be a good movie but it looks like they are trying to take elements fromt the book and put them into the movie or possibly expand on one of the events in the book... IDK... I'll see it...

I think it looks pretty awesome, actually. Whether this works out or not, the director said he wanted to keep the spirit of the book. We'll see. The trailer looks pretty intense.....

Both books, World War Z and the Zombie Survival Guide are OUTSTANDING!

Who has free copies of those to send me in the interest of helping me survive the Zombie Hordes?

This looks interesting but the zombies sort of flowing like a river looks pretty stupid. I agree that if they could move like that and at the speeds of what they were showing, it's not plausible anybody could have survived.

This one looks 50/50 to me in terms of being good. At the very least it might be a good popcorn action flick.

I've come to the conclusion Paramount just wanted the name/title for a zombie flick. I just can't see some of the stories in WWZ happening if the zombies where like they are in this trailer.

The female pilot who crashed and was able to hold out on top of a car before being saved.

The Indian people heading up the mountains at a snails(comparatively) pace knowing the dead are right behind them...

The 'Battle of Yonkers' would be completely different as well...

I'm not trying to say the movie is going to suck. It may be cool as hell. I'm just not expecting it to be like the book AT ALL....

Just saw the new trailer. While it looks like a decent, stand alone zombie movie, I am disappointed that they didn't stay with the book.... There's a lot in there that appears lost in the movie.

Looked kind of stupid to me but it is getting some good reviews. Might have to check this one out when it hits theaters.

Not interested. Apparently there aren't any Scientology undertones.

Holy crap that was an intense movie. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I went in with low expectations and was blown away.

You were blown away by this movie? I went in with low expectations myself, and was blown away by how awful it was. It had cause, though, which is why I had such low expectations. It went through not only extensive rewrites, but extensive re-shoots. Awful movie, just awful.

My wife loved it. Me: meh. Neither good nor bad. Movie couldn't make up its mind for what it was: fast moving zombie flick, or slower more intelligent thriller. Choppy, minor logic problems (must have been a really loud speaker over the noise of all those DAMN HELICOPTERS!), writing issues, character depiction issues.

The worst part - I'll have to wait 25 years for a decent remake to come out that's closer to the book.

In a van...down by the river.
Didn't read the book thus...good movie. ;)
Well shot, decently acted, didn't run too long, knew when to slow down and build suspense and when to ramp it up. Good score too.

My expectations were just to be entertained and i got more than that.

Nice direction by Marc Forster too(Monsters Ball),who i'm a fan of anyway.

So I started reading the book and I am about 20% through it. I would have never known the movie came from this book if they didn't have the same title. So far it's completely different.
