To honestly answer this question I have to say Max Hall. He just didn't have any NFL level talent. The only thing he has going for him is that he somehow did enough to allow this team to beat the Saints that year.

To me the fact that Derek Anderson had one good year in Cleveland has NOTHING aT ALL to do with how he did as the starting QB in Arizona. Not following that logic at all. The fact that he did well there ADDS to how much he sucked here if anything...

even if you only consider 2010, DA still has better numbers than Lindley and probably others. Lindley's 4.4 ypa and 0/7 TD/INT ratio and 46.7 rating puts him in the bottom spot in my opinion.

It had to be Dreck. Because the topic said worst starting QB.
Max Hall wasn't really a starter but a backup. Since Dreck failed so miserably Whiz had no other choice but to pull Dreck and give Max a try. Dreck was so bad he lost his job to Max who is also on ths list. Losing your job to Max Hall must mean you really suck. Therefore Dreck must be ranked lower than Max.

Doesn't he still hold the record for most fumbles by any player in the NFL regardless of position, the guy had tiny hands and he was a QB of all things lol

Brett Favre has the most with 166, then Warren Moon 161, then Krieg 153 Kurt Warner was actually 14th with 102.

one could argue Dave Brown was worse than DA:

(Dave Browns, DA's)

W/L: 3-4, 2-7
Comp%: 51.9 52.8
TD/INT: 4/9 7/10
ypa: 6.3 6.4
QBR: 67.9 69.1

Also, Steve Pisarkiewicz sucked, although even his stats in the dead ball era are slightly better than Lindleys in todays passing game era so Lindley still gets the nod.

Jeff Blake was never the back-up here. If IIRC he was a one and done starter…

I remember he hosted a BBQ and asked the receiving corps who wanted to go to the pro bowl. He listed some of the receivers he had thrown too over the years, specifically the ones who went to pro bowls. The article seemed pretty ridiculous at the time, and jeff blake ended up doing pretty much nothing… He was the one under center in Anquans first game though, IIRC… Q also made the pro bowl as a rookie that year...

By that measure then Leinart was the worst since he was the starting QB and was so bad he got benched in favor of Anderson. Either way, all we're doing here is basically comparing chicken crap to dog crap. Whatever one you pick it's still crap.

Depends on what lens through which you're looking at this question; are we analyzing who was the least productive or who failed to meet expectations? If that's the case, there are unequivocally two different answers.

If we're looking at "least productive," you have to give the nod to guys like Max Hall and Ryan Lindley, who combined threw for less than 50%, 1 TD and 13 INTs.

If we're looking at "failed to meet expectations," your answer is either Leinart or Kolb; however, even when you compare Leinart and Kolb to others, you will still find that they were more productive than, say, Hall, Skelton, Lindley, Brown, etc.

Then again, this argument sucks and only reinforces the sentiment that this team has struggled immensely to find a steady answer at QB for literally decades. As a matter of fact, since 2002, only one QB has started Week 1 games in consecutive seasons: Kurt Warner (2008,2009). Every other year it has been a different QB.

Once again, Pisarkiewicz was a St. Louis Cardinal, not a Phoenix/Arizona Cardinal.

I picked Anderson, but truly Ryan Lindley was the bottom of the barrel. Think about it guys, there were games when we knew 100% that we had no chance of scoring with him at QB. At least the others could fluke a throw into a big play, Lindley was the most pathetic and hopeless QB we ever lined up. Even, the punter, Tupa, had more QB upside than him.

If I could I would give all of them a vote. They all sucked to varying degrees.

Can I vote for more than one. If not then I vote for Anderson. So inaccurate he could not hit the broad side of a barn if he was leaning against it.

Or Skelton...soooo accurate he could hit the beer man in row 27, yet soooo inaccurate that he rarely could hit open Big Red receivers :D

This. I was basing my selection on what they did for, or didn't do for the Cardinals.

I remember that the media was saying about him, Jeff "he throws a good deep ball" Blake. Ha, he never got a chance with our Oline to throw any. :D

Ryan Lindley was the worst QB I have seen play for the Cardinals. I understand he was "not ready" to play, let alone start. BUT, he did and is the worst.

Max Hall would be a very close second. :barf:

And yet, through many of those names, along with no o-line, no running game and no TE, Larry Fitzgerald continued down a hall of fame path... Amazing...
