Right kind of target to bang in the middle of the field and catch one of Bradford's seven-yard passes.

Brice Butler is a guy you pick up for your fantasy team late Saturday night when you realize your main WR has a bye week..

But... here's to hoping he'll contribute. I can hear it now... "Bradford to Brice... TD!" :)

If it works out for the best: AirBnB

The Butler Didn't Do It.
(with apologies to murder mystery fans)

The search for the "it" WR continues. Stay tuned.

At this stage of free agency, this is about as good as it gets when it comes to a signing. Butler has long been intriguing dating back to his Raiders days as a former seventh-rounder. He's big (6'3/220) with deep speed (4.37 forty) and averaged 17.3 yards per catch the last two seasons with the Cowboys, though he was criminally underused. With not much going on outside in Arizona, Butler should be given a real chance to carve out a prominent offensive role.

If hes durable with sure hands and a deep threat, then this is a good signing. Gives Bradford and Lamar another weapon to throw to. We still have alot of holes to fill though.

Interesting that he brought up Fitz and how he took on a different role in AZ in his later years. It sounds like he believes he's ready to be a #1 - and he wanted Dez to take on the Larry role in Dallas, but knew that it wouldn't happen.

I'm guessing he envisions the same thing in AZ - Larry playing slot/inside and himself being the #1 or whatever you call it in McCoy's offense? If that's the case, that makes it alot easier to believe he picked AZ over the other teams.

Is Gary Clark too old to come back? How bout Frank Sanders? We better get a WR soon or we ain't gonna score more than 17 points in a game this whole season

#AZCardinals current WR's
WR Carlton Agudosi (6’6, 220) 24
WR Brice Butler (6’3, 220) 28
WR Larry Fitzgerald (6’3, 218) 34
WR Cobi Hamilton (6’2, 201) 27
WR J.J. Nelson (5’10, 160) 25
WR Rashad Ross (6’0, 180) 28
WR Chad Williams (6’1, 204) 23

Need to address this in the draft. This is a top 3 priority. That list is painful.

He’s a solid acquisition. He reminds me of John Brown but his hands aren’t as good. He’s mad at the Boys because he felt under used and never really given a chance to excel. He should be a decent deep threat and when he and JJ are split wide, Fitz and the TE should like the middle. I hear the Cards are talking with Niklas, but not offering last year’s salary.

From video I have watched it looked like Dak had a hard time getting the ball to him. He may have dropped a couple but a few of the throws were bad. I like this signing.

Maybe Niklas is another guy who can have his contract structured based on playing time as well.

Wow. I think cards got a great deal on this signing. Less than a million for a WR3?
