One could argue that Warner was even more efficient when Q was out. Remember the first half of the Bears' game in Chicago? The playoff game versus Green Bay?
Don't get me wrong---this isn't to suggest Q was not a great WR and asset---but sometimes when a team has two great WRs it's hard to keep them both happy---and it puts added pressure on the QB to do so.
Warner, imo, was at his best when he spread the ball around and didn't worry about feeding one WR too often.
Take Green Bay, for example. They fed their #1 WR last year (Greg Jennings: 76/1,265yds/12TD---and then fed a cadre of #2/#3/#4 options (Donald Driver: 51/565/4---James Jones: 50/679/5---Jordy Nelson: 45/582/2) plus RB Brandon Jackson: 43/342/1.
This is what Whiz is saying and is what he wants and hopes for.
