Everyone who bashed me for complaining about our Great coach Whiz. Where are you now? He has no IDEA how to run a football team or a gameplan. 180 yds and 3 td's at half time. And he comes out of half time with 4 plays under his arm and puts the breaks on a team playing the WORST team in football. He is worthless now in my opinion. Even if we win...it was in spite of him. He throws at the end and look voila...YARDS. What a bad Coach!

We've scored 21 pts in 7 consecutive games for the first time in 20 YEARS! We are on route to have only our 4th non-losing season since they moved to the Valley.

You're right let's run a rookie coach out of town. 3-13 is the way to go. :sarcasm:

I'm right here. I'm sure you'll credit something else, but the Cardinals have avoided double digit losses for the first time in over 5 years. 7 wins is the most since 2001. It brings up the futility of the franchise, but these facts show improvement under HC Whiz.

Wouldn't it be only our 3rd non-losing season? 8-8 under Buddy and 9-7 under Tobin?

GUYS. We have ALOT of Talent. We should score 21 points EVERY GAME> Heck we have 2 of the best recievers in the game. With a future hall of fame running back. Man This should happen if we had Jay Leno coaching our team.

Why are we settling for medicority? We are proud of 8-8???/With 2 losses at SF and a OT win against Atlanta. Yes we are in every game. But Please I will never say it again. But anyone HONESTLY say that with our talent, Cowher, Parcells, or Bellichick doesn't have us at 10-6 minimum with 11-5 possible! We lead the league in Penalties, boneheaded plays, and wasted Timeouts....all reflective of coaching!!

Campos you havent taken any flak at all. Im beed edited, banned and cursed at with no action taken on the curses for saying weeks ago Whiz was bad.

This here is one of them bright spots cheese was talking bout. OT win against the falcons. Man if thats a bright spot then he would die of light exposure if he was a pats, colts, seahawks, <insert any other team> fan.

Well then I feel for you. I think the team is heading in the right direction. But I don't place that on Whiz. We have won in spite of him and lossed because of him. Yes a Rackers kick or 2 and we are in the playoffs. But with this team we SHOULD be in the playoffs.

I agree that Whis' playcalling was terrible for most of the 2nd half but overall you have to feel optimistic about his first year in the desert. It's hard not to feel the effects of the peaks and valleys during the season but when you take a step back, this team wasn't in a position to compete for the playoffs after all of the injuries.

As much as I think he's got a ton of things to work on, he did have the team prepared to win a game just for pride. That will carry over to next year. He has made good strides in changing the persona of the team and ultimately, even with all the bad plays, mental errors, poor playcalling, injuries, etc., he had the team realistically close to 9 wins at this point in the season. He couldn't have coached Rackers to make the SF FG or the guy to recover the fumble in game 1.

I know I'm not. But he's a first year HC who is looking at a possible .500 season.

This thread and the reactions of others are totally puzzling.

GUYS. We have ALOT of Talent.

We have talent but not a ton of depth and that has shown in the 2nd half of the season especially on defense.

We should score 21 points EVERY GAME

Thats a goal but having the team score 21 points for 7 consecutive games is a major improvement. You want to run him out of town after 1 year, I think thats beyond dumb.

Heck we have 2 of the best recievers in the game.

When healthy no argument here. However you seem to ignore the fact that both have had injury issues this year.

With a future hall of fame running back.

Whose best days are behind him. That and it doesn't matter how good your running back is if the OLine has been inconsistent like ours has the 2nd half of the year.

Man This should happen if we had Jay Leno coaching our team.

Your reaction is puzzeling. You still dont get that we had the easiest schedule this year. That means if we had a normal schedule we are 6-10 at best. What improvement is that?

So whiz should be fired because we had an easy schedule? Talk about puzzling logic

Every coach has got points to improve on. Calling a guy who's going to,most likely, be 8-8 after 1 year is beyond stupid. Cam Cameron,i could see that about him. We're playing with our 2nd string QB and without 4 of our top defensive players and being competitive. This thread is so stupid. I can't believe i took part in it. Now , if you'd like to start a more realistic thread as to what Whiz needs to improve for the next year, that would be more credible. Calling for a coach's head after a .500 season and a 3 game improvement shows ignorance at best.

We consistently have the easiest schedule(s) in the NFL and still lose games. Have done so for a number of years. The fact that we aren't looking at double digit loses for the first time in years illustrates improvement.

Additionally, the fact that the team beat the Steelers, Seahawks and Browns illustrates improvement. We don't usually don't beat teams with winning records. But gather a handful of wins against teams with records as bad as ours.

Whiz has a ton to improve on. But yea, progress has been made.

The team is averaging less than a 100 yards rushing per game. It takes more than 3 players to build an offense. Success starts with the offensive line. James is averaging 3.8 yards per carry. Those are not numbers that would get you in the HOF.

Please tell who should be the coach of this team? Because if you fire a first year coach whose going to want to come here for 1 year before getting their axe.

got to admit mistakes as soon as possible. Should have hired Johnson from the eagles years ago.

If you dont fire Whiz you at least have to tell him he is not allowed to run the offense.

I don't think Johnson has ever put his name out there has he? He and Kiffin in TB seem to be perfectly content with focusing on the D and not taking on all the responsibility of top dog.

If Whis learns to be flexible and adaptible, then he will get better as a coach. He simply doesn't have the personnel to run what he wants and he seems reluctant to deviate from his system. I think at this point, he has to try and make it work as much as possible because if he let's Warner fling it around and run the spread offense, it will be that much harder to get back to his system when he get's more of the type of personnel he wants next year.

Whis has done okay. Not great, but ok. He's had some problems, but all rookie head coaches do. The question is whether he'll come back next year, address those problems and improve in those areas while not making new mistakes, or whether he'll keep stubbornly making the same mistakes while failing to improve.

One year isn't enough time to know that.

Not true. Either last year or the year before we had one of the toughest.

It was .500 in 06', 0.449 in 05' and 0.461 in 04'.

http://fftoday.com/sos/sos.htm

We have consistently had soft schedules and still found ways to lose. So to be looking at .500 is an improvement. I'm not celebrating or satisfied, but an improvement has been made.

Why should they have hired Johnson and how do you know he'd be a successful HC ? Is it because of all the other teams that have gone through coaching searches and not hired him ? Or did you just randomly pick out an assisstant coach and ,based on you keen eye for HC talent, throw his name out there? It's logic like this that is baffling. The guy's been a coordinator in the league for 100 years.Do you think there's a reason he's hasn't been offered a HC job or does everyone, but you, miss the boat? Let's see, i think the DB coach for the Saints would have been a better choice than Whiz. That has a much merit as your choice.
