I think the Suns will win too...you and I are pretty much on the same page in that regard...neither of us think it will be a sweep or an easy series, and the Suns will likely win. You don't think it is beyond all reason for the Lakers to win, just not probable.
The only reason I'm being so vociferous in here isn't because of statements like that or any others that you in particular have made. But you can't pretend that there are some comments much more in line with what I've mentioned (that you felt I was putting in your mouth) being made. Heck, the first line of the "should we ban Lakers fans" poll is : "Suns fans know what the story is with the Lakers--they're the worst playoff team in the Western Conference."
Now, you (not YOU, Chaplin, but the collective you) may believe that, but if you do then you aren't giving the Lakers team enough credit.

Regarding the actual issue, out of these teams:
San Antonio
Phoenix
Denver
Dallas
Memphis
LA Clippers
Lakers
Sacramento
...I do believe that the Lakers are the least talented of the bunch--that is... if Sacramento is playing like they've been playing since they got Artest. Now that doesn't mean they are the worst team in the West--heck, they aren't even remotely the worst team in the playoffs--there are several teams in the East that aren't as good as the Lakers.

The Lakers, Nuggs and Clips have the same record, basically. The Clips (before they started tanking) were slumping already. There is really nothing between those three, IMO, other than the Lakers are playing much better at the right point of the season than they are.
The Kings, in my opinion, are not near as dangerous with Artest as they were with Peja.
I'd LOVE to face the Kings as a Lakers fan...I do understand from a Suns fan perspective that they matchup with your team well and pose some problems, but from a pure better team perspective the Lakers are a better team.
Yes, there is a dropoff after the Suns, Mavs, Spurs to Memphis, then a further drop to the Lakers, Clips and Nugs, and then Kings. But all the bottom 4 are so close that there is no clear worst team in the playoffs...and many pundits and fans as well have said the Kings and the Lakers are the two most dangerous lower seeds in the post season.
