Tonight didn't mean anything to the Giants in the grand scheme of things. Look at Romo's performance in the last few playoff series. He's a choke artist
last few? lol...tonights game meant a lot to the giants and if it didn't they wouldn't have played as hard as they did until the final play. it's funny how tony romo doesn't play well in big games. I guess it's only a big game when the cowboys lose. because when they win a must win game in december against the defending champs.. it's meaningless.

huh? getting the #1 seed doesn't matter to the Giants in the grand scheme of things? that's just silly.

Romo has never proven he can win in a pressure situation. I'm sorry Nashman but you cannot say Dallas gets up for big games with any credibility

they get up better than we do. Our last three games against teams with winning records we've been outscored 120-63.

yeah cheesebeef......wasn't this the same that was lauded for sticking it to the pats in the final game of the year last year in a meaningless game? wasn't that one of the big moments for that franchise in such a meaningless game. big enough that the likes of strahan brought it up after the year was done? this was a huge game. but it's over and both teams have to win next week.

speaking of romo.....i haven't recalled a game aside from maybe the patriots last year.....in which the cowboys didn't have a chance to win late in the game when romo has been under center for the cowboys. say what you want....but that's something that hasn't always been the case for other guys who have played QB for the cowboys even this year.

Including Dallas ?

Maybe its me but I seem to remember beating them earlier in the year

We were actually playing well back then, and they were in the middle of a collapse, if that game were right now we would lose by at least 2 TDs.

I think he means that the Panthers game is the only one that really matters. If they win that they get the 1 seed automatically.

I never wanted to play Dallas in the playoffs in the first place. They will put a massive asswhooping on us because they would like nothing better than revenge after this season's game, and they won't forget that in 98 the Wild Cards came in and beat them in Dallas, the first of a long string of playoff losses for them.

No, I don't want to play Dallas.

If Romo's back is still hurt, I wouldn't mind.

My expectations are pretty low right now anyway.

If the Car*s play Dallas I'll be real tempted to sell my playoff tickets, to Car*s fans only of course.

Playing Dallas, AGAIN, would just ruin the entire experience for me.

I am now a huge FALbuCONeer fan.

I'm trying not confuse my fear of losing to Dallas with fear of playing Dallas. The Cowboys have been finding creative ways to lose in the playoffs for years now. I'm frustrated with the Cardinals as well, but I don't doubt their ability to get up for that game.

I now want us to play Dallas. We need motivation apparently and the Cowboys certainly up the anti. If we loose then any added humiliation will not bring any sympathy from me,I'm mad right now at these guys.

Per NFL.com Dallas is currently the #7 seed and out of the playoffs. Yes Dallas has beaten Tampa and they currently have a better Conference record Atlanta but the because they haven't played Atlanta the tie-breaker is strength of schedule between the 3 teams- and thus they are the #7 seed.

Im no expert so please chime in if you think NFL.com has it wrong. They are usually pretty accurate.

Someone is wrong. I live in Dallas and the papers and TV have them at #5. CBSsportsline has a breakdown playoff bracket and it has dallas going to AZ.

Not positive about this but I think in order to avoid Dallas, Tampa has to win both of their games and Dallas has to lose at least one

If Atlanta, Dallas and TB all win out, Dallas will be the 5, TB will be the 6 and Atlanta will be eliminated. Atlanta cannot get in as a Wild card unless Dallas or TB loses or Carolina loses out in which case TB would win the division and Atlanta would be the 6 seed and Carolina would be eliminated from the playoffs. Scary to think we could have an 11-5 team in the AFC and NFC both miss the playoffs this year. (Patriots could miss at 11-5 as well)
For reference,
TB plays vs SD and vs. Oak,
Atl plays @Min and vs Stl
Car plays @NYG and @NO

I've already resigned myself to Dallas playing Arizona. And the Car*s first home playoff game in decades will be all about Dallas even in Phoenix.

There'll be 30,000 Dallas fans at the game and silver and blue all over town especially with Texas in town for the Fiesta Bowl.

Makes me sick to think that the Car*inal luck still runs the way it does.

We'll play whoever shows up. And whoever shows up will be good. I'm looking forward to it.

Not if its Dallas. What a disaster that will be for Car*inal fans. Dallas will become the home team and that we'll be an afterthought in our own stadium will be the least of our problems.

So? We'll always have to fight that same thing until we overcome it. If Dallas earns the right to come here, that's life in the NFL. I don't care and being afraid of anybody does nothing good -- ever.

If our team is afraid of Dallas, it will show it and lose big. If we have some guts and don't fear them, we could win.

Certainly the pukes will buy up more tickets than last game because a fair number of season ticket holders will not buy playoff seats, making more available to the enemy. Between a bad economy and a poor season ending string of performances by the Cards, is any of this a stretch or surprising?

I agree with Jim. There isn't going to be a lot of faith in this team's playoff odds - even among season ticket holders - until they stop laying eggs like the Eagles and Vikes games.

And given the way a lot of people are struggling at the moment, shelling out hundreds of dollars to see something like what happened on Sunday is understandably a stretch.

Who's afraid of Dallas team? We beat them already.

I just don't want to see the Car*s have their first home playoff game in 60 years become a home game for Dallas instead. They'll not only have tens of thousands of fans at the game but you won't even know the Car*s are playing. Nothing but talk about the cowboys. Cowboy stuff for sale everywhere. 1000s of Cowboy fans at the hotels and sports bars. Cowboy headlines.

It will degrade the experience tremendously for those of us who have been looking forward to this for 10,20,30 even 50 years.

Everybody's broke in Phoenix? Maybe we should move the game to Dallas.
