"This team is still a couple of edge rushers short of being able to challenge for above-average status"

"If they can protect Murray and the defense does take a step forward, they could find themselves on the fringes of the wild-card race in the NFC."

So maddening.

Carter is the better runner but Demarcado is far better at protecting the QB. With Benson & Carter in the group Demarcado has the most unique role.

But Carter offers the most change of pace. Connor, Benson and Demercado are all big backs. All 215-220lb guys with similar styles.

Carter is the only guy there that offers something clearly different in style of play.

Carter is a better runner than Demarcado, but I think you guys are clearly underestimating how important pass-protection is from your RB. Not only does it protect your QB, it makes your play-calling more unpredictable as a whole.
Yeah but if you choose to run the ball with the good pass protector who sucks at running, the play isn't going to do well.

Demercardo also had to go against more good defenses than Carter while Carter only played with a much better rushing/overall threat in Kyler than Dobbs

This! Let the rusher come free and dump the ball to Carter in the flat. His footwork is unbelievable in the open field.

In his limited opportunities (58 rushes, 30 targets), Demercado by no means "sucked at running" (4.9 yards per rush, 21 catches @ 5.7 yards per reception).

Carter, in only 22 attempts with Arizona, had an awesome 6.8 y/r... But his career average is 4.2 y/rush and 7.1 y/rec.

Benson is faster than Carter.... thats what makes him good... Connors power...Carters speed...single package. He opens up the play book.

There's still plenty of roster decisions hanging in the balance for the Arizona Cardinals, making this week's game against Denver an important one:"There's going to be a lot of guys playing and they're playing for a reason," Jonathan Gannon said Wednesday.
