77 people said get rid of K1 just this season so obviously that is not the case.

I am all for critiquing the dude but wanting to get rid of our best player for the crap in the draft or as a FA is suicide for a franchise that has only had 7 winning seasons in its history of being here in AZ.

Don't cut off your nose to spite your face. K1 is not perfect and no QB is but have some perspective of who this franchise has historically been.
You're about as up for critiquing the dude as Stalin was up for a healthy debate lol

This is the second time I've read a tread and just felt all the tension with the bickering. So, like the last time I'm going to sit down and have a beer. Just might watch the Voice that we've recorded. LOL

And by the way Don't make me pull this car over!!! Haahaaa
This thread was actually going fairly well until someone popped in to toss a hate grenade in.

Herbert, most overrated QB in the league. I think Harbaugh might move off him when its all said and done.

Daniels, way too early to anoint this guy as anything.

Do you have a system for these rankings or is it pure vibes based?

Let's take Herbert for example.

Through 70 career games he's thrown for 18,666 yards, 122 TDs, only 43 INT's, a passer rating of 95.9, 7.13 YPA and 66.46% comp rate. He's only missed 4 career games and he's younger than Kyler. You think this guy is overrated and Harbaugh is going to dump him.

Kyler by comparison has,

Through 73 career games he's thrown for 17285 yards, 105 TD's, 49 INT's, a passer rating of 92.7, a 7 YPA and 66.69% comp rate. He's missed 18 career games.

Despite being in the league a year less, having 3 different head coaches and 4 different OC's (compared to Kyler's 2 and 2) he beats Kyler in every QB metric expect very slightly in comp %.

So how exactly Kyler your golden boy and 6th in your rankings while Herbert is overrated and not ranked?

I'm sure now you want to grasp for the usual get out of jail card of "Yeah but Kyler's legs". Well Herbert has 994 yards rushing and 11 rushing TD's. Kyler has 2792 and 28 TD's. This put's Kyler slightly over on total yards and level on TD's, but still losing on all the other metrics and done in 3 more games played.

So other than vibes how does this work?

Well, as we know, he doesn't have any talent around him. His OL sucks. His coaching sucks. Everyone sucks. The ball boy sucks! You can't blame Kyler for his play at QB. C'mon, @BritCard, we know this :)

I know you don’t get to watch the games over in London but I get to see just about every game here. I don’t need to look at stats when I see the games with my own lying eyes.

Keep throwing out the stats and Herbert will continue to be a loser season in and out throwing in garbage time trying to get back in games.

Meanwhile K1 is elevating a garbage franchise out of obscurity into the national spotlight.

When should they cut or trade K1?

You guys out your true feeling with every post.
Maybe I have missed it, but I generally thought the board understood that the nearest decision point on Kyler would be at the end of the 2025 season. Anything before that is unrealistic unless he turns out to be the next Watson (not that I think they are similar, just that it would take a significant issue).

Context amigo.. LAC has been a pass first offense until a drastic change this year. Offensive schemes matter.. Herbie is going on pace for a drastically low in nearly every single category. Is averaging 200 yards and 1 TD a game.

I'm getting the sense you just try to antagonize to get clicks, responses, any kind of validation. I have no other explanation for you getting angry at folks not worshipping at the feet of the almighty K1. The best thing to do is stop feeding you responses.

Kyler was in a pass first offense up until drastic change last year also.

So this is the narrative?

77 people are wanting to get rid of the QB after 2025?
Why create a pole that won't be executed for 2 more seasons?
Imagine what can happen between that time.

Not pointing at you Chopper but that just doesn't pass the smell test.

Thats it. I care what people think of me on the internet so much that I will go against the grain and like K1 on the worst run franchise in sports.
Do you listen to yourself before you type this stuff? Go touch some grass my man.

I don't know that people WANT to get rid of Kyler. I tend to believe posters on this board just want this team to win games. I believe the frustration was greater when the Cardinals were looking like they might win 5 games on the season in year 2. If Kyler and the Cardinals win 9 games this season with Kyler, I don't believe anyone on the board would want to move off from Kyler because, IMO, it would show the growth they are looking for.

On a Kyler aside, there isn't a reason to move off of a top 12-18 QB this year, especially if you have to eat money to do so. The draft is pretty mid, and not many teams with a top 12-18 QB will be in a position to take a QB. There isn't any QB option in FA that is exciting. There just isn't much justification to make a QB move especially when you would also take a large cap hit. A coaching change could factor in a decision like this, but I don't expect that to occur in AZ. Hopefully this makes sense even if you agree/disagree.

I guess to simplify my thoughts. It was never a viable option to move on from Kyler after 2024 unless the wheels absolutely came off. This was due to the quality of the draft class, the FA class, Kyler's production, our HC situation, and his dead cap hit. Those who thought it was viable were uninformed and not factoring in these things IMO.

A pass first offense that had a big focus of bubble screens and the same routes over and over again w zero movement… Kliffy brought a college offense to the NFL for his first stint

lol, I've probably watched more Herbert than you.

Honestly, the "I trust my eyes more than the stats" is the saddest answer you could possibly have given. Truly desperate stuff.

How about we use QB rankings from actual experts with eyes over the last 5 years and see what they say? Or are your eyes better than theirs?
