Does he tho? I would argue that he does not run enough to consider it "seriously impacting" the game. I watched him run a 2 min drill to try to tie the game vs MN and his rushing did zero to help that.

It's a factor for sure, but it is severely overstated on this board.

Actually, is running directly impacted the 2-minute drill negatively last week.

I disagree somewhat with Cheese’s statement. The narrative around Rivers is that he had some extremely talented teams to only letdown in the postseason.

I don’t even disagree with that. He earned the playoff choke-artist label, but to get that label, means he at least was getting getting those teams into the playoffs and there were teams that weren't extremely talented that he got the playoffs too. All while playing for a team with terrible ownership as well.

All of which is to say I don’t even think Rivers was great. I just have him slightly above the Kirk Cousins, Dak’s of the game.

Roger Staubach did not do it for an entire season. In 1971, he picked up the starting job from Craig Morton in week 8. He started and won 7 regular season games in a 14-game season (unless they are counting his 3 playoff wins as well). It has to be that season since it is the only one he finished above 100 in passer rating. So - surprise - stats lie and you shouldn't believe everything that's posted on screen during a broadcast.

Made playoffs... lol. His numbers are far from elite. He has moments of greatness, but overall, he's certainly outside of the top 10 QB's in the league. He's elite at being average... I'll give you that.

Making the playoffs 1 year out of 6 and then getting embarrassed isn't elite.

Being a MVP favorite in week 6 and then not even getting a vote at the end of the season is not elite. To this point, Trevor Lawrence has finished closer to a MVP than Kyler and you have repeatedly said he is not elite. (and I agree about Lawrence)

Rookie of the year...sure.

Kyler's NFL production has not been elite in any way, shape, or form outside of rushing at times.

Whoa...

"Elite" Qb's never quit on their team, no matter the score and no matter the game... especially a playoff game. And, I still can't get the image of Kyler sulking on the bench, alone, when literally the entire Cards team ran onto the field in concern over a knocked-out Budda Baker.
As I've said, Kyler has a ton of proving to do before I would ever consider him to be elite.

Kyler Murray is going to have the 2nd most passing yards in Cardinals history. Depending on how much longer he plays, he could have the most in Cardinals history. That should not be taken for granted but it also needs to be held in context because Kyler will not likely be a hall of famer.

Great player for the Cardinals does not guarantee a great NFL player. (great being HoF)

Statistically, Baker Mayfield has been a better NFL QB than Kyler Murray. I would not call Baker elite tho he has been really good in the playoffs.

Kyler is a #1 overall pick. And while there have certainly been a few #1 overall picks that flamed out and didn't last 6 years, most have. Since 2013, every #1 overall pick is still playing in the league! C'mon man... get a grip.

I'm not sure how your WR not knowing the play isn't down to the guy communicating the plays?

I know everyone wanted to blame that one on Green but how do we think it happened? Either he got the wrong call in the huddle, or more likely it was changed at the line and not properly communicated.

I'd have to look for it but AJ literally admitted after the game it was his fault. Everyone else on the team knew what was happening, he just missed the call.

actually, his gear from ONE game is in the HOF. Guess what... same thing can be said about Neil Rackers' cleats for most field goals in a season. Unfortunately, the other major thing they have in common is both routinely come up short in the clutch.

Think it's more midsection. I can't remember if it was Seattle or the game below but on a run someone fell on him as the other guy pulled him down and his helmet came off. When he got up he was clearly wincing and for the rest of the game they were showing him on the sideline stretching and wincing when not in the game.

I agree he hasn't seemed willing to turn it loose running since that play

Hate on... seriously? Is this where this is at now? Because I don't view Kyler as "elite," or able as of yet, to perform in big moments - that means I hate the guy?? You guys man...

I respect Kyler as I do virtually all pro athletes. To reach the highest professional level and heck, to be a #1 overall pick, doesn't happen accidentally... Kyler has played well. Occasionally, on certain plays he's looked better than good. But as far as I'm concerned, he's never demonstrated an ability to consistently play in ways that translate to sustained success at the NFL level. Doesn't mean I hate the guy. Hell, I'm still waiting for him to surprise me - pleasantly so. Maybe that will be Sunday as this is one of the top 2 or 3 most important games of his NFL career.
