    I saw this team digressing as the preseason wore on, especially the defense. The offense never got it together. You only have to look at Denver to see what a false sense of confidence a 4-0 or 3-1 preseason will give you. Until the O line and running game get better, I don't see this team...

    Did anyone else notice when Warner called one of the timeouts that Boldin came up to him afterwards to ask him why? I was wondering why Warner didn't throw to Boldin more. It seemed like he was throwing to Fitz and Johnson most of the game.

    Agreed. You expected the interior O line to be shaky, but not the ST breakdowns. This defense is not living up to expectations either. This is not a very good team right now but they have 15 games to show improvement.

    The difference is having a FB who can knock a defensive lineman, linebacker, or DB back on their can when it is first and goal. It takes many pieces to have a good running game and Hodgins was one of them for this team.

    The jerseys won't have to be washed for the next away game. Except for the backside of the R. O line, they all looked pretty clean to me.

    No one is raising a white flag, I just said it was the biggest loss yesterday. Emmitt did well last season because he knows how to get into the end zone. Obviously Shipp learned nothing from him in that area.

    I thought after Lechey, Hayer did the best job of all the backup centers. Lynch has been horrible. Why isn't Hayer getting more time? He's better than Lynch and Allen.

    Although the team got kicked in the second half yesterday, the biggest loss was Hodgin's ACL injury. Arrington's best, only?, run was off of a block by Hodgins. Not good for the short yardage game.

    Arrington's running style does not fit well with this sieve of an O line. He is starting to remind me of Adrian Murrell the way he dances around and avoids contact. Not that is matters right now. You could put LT or any good RB behind this O line and they wouldn't get more than 50 yards...

    Is Arrington ready to start in the NFL?

    It is way too early to be calling JJ a bust. Grren likes to throw high draft picks into the starting lineup and make them play but that doesn't always mean they are ready. Look at Stepnoski last year. I think Arrington will do fine in the long run but he doesn't look ready for the spotlight...
