    You could be right. But nobody knows right now. You don't draft a qb just because he is the best available. If you don't think Gabbert and Newton are going to be franchise signal-callers then you don't draft them.

    I said nobody knows where those quarterbacks are going to be drafted and I'll stand by that because...I'm right. Luck and Barkley would both go ahead of them because they're both elite prospects. Gabbert and Newton are not.

    Andre Smith will not last past the 4th round. He is the best blocking TE in this draft and there is almost always a blocking TE that comes off the board in the top 3 rounds.

    Thanks for the input. You always provide a ton of quality insight. I couldn't agree more with the QB situation in this draft. I usually think drafting a QB in rounds 2-3 is a complete waste, but this year is different.

    My personal opinion (and this wasn't my mock draft) is Ponder. He needs to be in the right system, but he is my top-rated QB. Gabbert is raw...Kaep is reeeeeeeaaaaaaallllllly raw...I don't trust Newton and Mallett....Locker is a senior QB that couldn't complete 60% of his passes.

    I doubt Peterson lasts to #7 and I even said as much in the explanation for the 49ers choice. If Fitz is moved though, Green could easily be Arizona's choice over Peterson. They're both great options. As always, thanks for checking it out man. I'll let you know when rounds 2-7 are up.

    Maybe this is a dumb question, but would Wis even be allowed to draft another quarterback? If so, would he really be willing to take that chance? Isn't there a chance he doesn't make it to Gabbert's second pro season if the team wins 5 or 6 games again next season?

    No. It's too difficult (and pointless) to try to predict everything that's going to happen with a new CBA. I think that'll be settled by the time we reach the draft though.
