    Conflicting reports re: karlos dansby

Dansby has played up to that level every year not 1 out of 10. The only thing out of the ordinary for 2013 is the 19 pdf's. The guy leaves for a couple of years and fans forget how good he was in Arizona. :bang:

Albert Most Likely to Sign With Dolphins per PFT

Don't forget that one of the 3 doors has a Zonk! I think that's the one Graves usually picked. :D

On contracts, we need to be reasonable

Funny that you mention the Steelers, Giants and Packers who have won 4 Super Bowls between them since 2008. The 49ers have 15 players with cap #'s over $3 million for 2014. The Cards have 10. Seattle has 10 at over $5 million. The Texans have 11 over 3. The Cards had plenty of cap space...

On contracts, we need to be reasonable

They are not being paid to play a game, with the connotation that Pro Football is the equivalent of a kid's game. The NFL is a business not a kids game. A huge business and people who can help sell the product are worth the hundreds of thousands and millions they are paid. We've seen what...

On contracts, we need to be reasonable

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that would create $27,795,000 in Dead Money and eat up most if not all of the Cards cap space.

    Ryan Shazier/OLB/Ohio State pro day

Speaking of Safeties and Ohio State what can you tell me about Orhian Johnson a practice squad guy who the Cards signed to a futures contract. I know I'm getting old when there are guys who have been on the Cards roster that I didn't know were ever signed. I used to know every guy including...

On contracts, we need to be reasonable

I doubt he'd be a cap casualty this year as I don't think the Cardinals could afford to add another $6 million in dead money on top of the $11,789.190 they already have from Levi, Colledge and Snyder. (source Sportrac) Besides there's only a handful of people on the planet who could...

On contracts, we need to be reasonable

Underwhelming play???? From everything I've seen he's the same player he's always been. He has also been, since signing his huge deal, part of a Cardinal Defense that hasn't finished in the 20's in either points or yards allowed three years in a row after being in the 20's in at least one of...

Cardinals sign TE John Carlson to a two-year contract

With the TE's having 73 receptions* last season, one more than 2012, is that really the case? Or did the Cards have to amend their offense because the TE's they had were more receivers than blockers? *Quite a change from the Warner days. Cards TE's had 23 catches in 2009 and 25 in 2008.

    Conflicting reports re: karlos dansby

And Michael Floyd benefited from having Carson Palmer at QB instead of Ryan Lindley so I guess we can discount what Floyd did last season. And Calais Campbell had just a bit of influence on Abraham's stats for 2013 so we shouldn't be heaping so much praise on Big John for his sacks either. It...

Why Doesn't Dansby Get Any Love?

As evidenced by Dansby's 19 passes defensed in 2013. Way to pay attention Polian.

    Niners keep Anquan Boldin

If I remember correctly, and believe me I may be off base here, the Cards traded their original 3rd to move up to get DWash and their original 4th to acquire Kerry Rhodes. They used the Ravens picks to get Roberts and traded down with New Orleans and selected O'Brien Schofield. But having...

John Lott and the Cards part ways

Even more ridiculous is that if the Cards won 11 games every year it would take 18.5 seasons for them to get to .500 all time. Of course that's what happens when you have 20 losing seasons in 22 years. But its not all the Arizona Cardinals fault or all Dollar Bill either. The Cards were...

Proposal: Extra points moved to the 25 yard line.

Don't forget that the Cards beat the Cowboys in 2010 because the Dallas kicker missed an Extra Point. That alone is reason enough to leave it as is. :D

How does this draft look for us

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Cards pick up Logan Thomas since he's a Virginia Tech QB just like Arians. But from what I've seen he's being projected as a RB or multi-purpose back or TE. However, I think they could get him in the 6th or 7th round or even as an UDFA. Herron looks good...

    Themed Mock Drafts

I like A. I did an all Longhorn draft one year. Half the guys washed out the other half have been solid. Which was surprising because I usually jinx more guys than that. Best UT draft pick this century: Casey Hampton 1st/19 2001. 12 year starter for the Steelers.

John Lott and the Cards part ways

That was the 40 years ago he was referencing. Hard to believe its been 40 years since the days of Coryell's Cardiac Cards. EDIT: 1999 to 2001 were horrible years for Cards fans. From Dec. 5th 1999 to Nov. 11, 2001 the Cards went 4-22 and were outscored 771-381!!!

John Lott and the Cards part ways

The Cards won 10 regular season games in 2009. So its only been 4 years not 40. Most wins for a first year Cards coach since 1925 though.

    Conflicting reports re: karlos dansby

Teams get in salary cap trouble by paying the wrong players not by paying "too much" for the right players. Just look at what Levi Brown costs against the cap this year. It also helps to not have to pay mega millions to a QB which is why the 49ers were able to pay both Bowman and Willis huge...

A Case For Brandin Cooks at 20

They could even get John Brown of Pittsburgh State in the 6th or 7th round. Speed at WR and solve our issues with kick returns and take PP21 off punt returns. Far fetched? I don't know, according to Walter Football the Cards had a meeting with Bernard Reedy of Toledo a similar player...

Jimmy Graham can be had for two-1st round picks...

Sadly that # is what Double Dunce and Rag Arm Ryan put up in the NFL. Combined 53.2% with 2 TDs and 16 INTs in 2012. Our QBs were beyond horrendous in that season.

Jimmy Graham can be had for two-1st round picks...

Slot receivers who are 6'7" 260 and run 4.53 are not a dime a dozen. But I still wouldn't give up 2 first round selections for him. On the other hand 16 TDs?!? No, still wouldn't do it.
