I agree with Brian that there wasn’t much of an overt message. If anything it was a mashup of Taken and Proof of Life with PG13 violence. I was surprised at the number of recognizable character actors in it; from the media coverage I assumed it was Caviziel and a bunch of indies. I guess Mira...
No idea, and I won’t speculate about something I didn’t see personally. Did you go to the theater and ask? I can think of any number of benign explanations. Computer glitch. Group buy. People actually going.
Trailer looks great but I can’t see people buying in if it’s “old DC.”
Great opportunity to have the new Superman show up in a post credit scene, even if it’s just as Clark Kent.

I enjoyed it, still scratching my head why they didn’t use it to kick off the new universe versus the half-assed method they took.
They could have boosted buzz for Blue Beetle, what with it being the first movie in a new universe, and hinted at character introductions versus a wasted Clooney cameo.
“In their first season together in 1997-98, Robinson and Duncan shared the load equally as Robinson averaged 21.6 points, 10.6 rebounds and 2.63 blocks, while Duncan averaged 21.1 points, 11.9 rebounds and 2.51 blocks.”

“In his rookie season, Duncan lived up to expectations of being the first draft pick, starting in all 82 regular season games, averaging 21.1 points, 11.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.5 blocks per game, and earning All-NBA First Team honors.”
I read the trilogy a long time ago. First and second books were good, third fell a little flat.
The show has made enough tweaks to stuff that I’m very engaged to see how they finish it out.
