    Suns trade for Beal

Right, what difference does it make. Whoever is advising him, if anyone, is doing a great job.

    2023 Phoenix Suns Offseason

It's always hard to predict the future, anything can happen. But at the present moment our new owner has committed 100% to winning/spending.

    2023 Phoenix Suns Offseason

A guy signed to a minimum deal could become a distraction but not a cancer. Under competent leadership a minimum contract guy will be jettisoned at the first sign of trouble. When a guy making 30m per season goes sideways, you have a big problem. If he will sign for the minimum, you have to do it.

    2023 Phoenix Suns Offseason

Our four projected starters, DA, KD, BB and DB averaged 98.1 ppg last season. The suns as a team averaged 114ppg. If we run an 8-man rotation, the other 4 guys would need to average less than 4ppg each to beat last year's team scoring average.

How much cap room would we have available to sign free agents if we get rid of Ayton?

    Should Ayton be Traded?

If he retreats into a shell, we are screwed. If he uses it to motivate himself, combined with Monty and Paul being gone, there is a chance. I'm not betting on it, but we would be unstoppable.

    KD and Beal Trade Recap

Me too. Unless we entertain the idea of a DA resurgence which of course changes everything.

    Should Ayton be Traded?

I wonder what all this chatter about him being worthless is doing to DA's already fragile confidence.

    Suns trade for Beal

The future does look rough. I suspect the thinking is, if we can't win in the next 2-3 years, we will be in full rebuild mode, including trading Booker.

    Should Ayton be Traded?

    Exactly

    Should Ayton be Traded?

In the 5 games DA played against Denver he was the team’s 3rd highest scorer in 3 of 5. His 4 points on May 5th was 4th in team scoring behind Warren and Payne who tied for 3rd with 7-points each. On 05/07 Shamet was the third highest scorer and he’s gone. The playoff dysfunction of this team...

    Should Ayton be Traded?

I honestly have no idea. I didn't even know those three won a championship with the nets and I couldn't tell you who the front court guys for GSW were. I know Green was there. Adams is no Green. I do agree, we wouldn't need scoring if we had a front court guy averaging 11 boards, 8 Assists...

    Should Ayton be Traded?

Don't we need a center who can score to keep the defense honest. In his last playoff run Adams averaged 3ppg 6rpg .535FT.

NBA Draft: Thursday, June 22, 2023; Suns are scheduled to select at #52.

I don't know about that. Ayton is a major disappointment, but not Luc Longley bad...Longley averaged 7pts and 5 boards for his career. Last season DA slept through 1/2 the games and still averaged 18 and 10.

    Should Ayton be Traded?

If he can we are set.

    Should Ayton be Traded?

This.....and isn't everyone on the suns overpaid except maybe Booker? If you go by the last three playoff melt downs they should all be arrested for theft.

    2023 Phoenix Suns Offseason

Having KD and losing the twins isn't the problem. The last 3 historic playoff exits point to larger problems. 1. Coaching, hopefully fixed 2. CP3, we are not winning with CP as our starting PG 3. Ayton, as long as our starting center is a fumbling, inconsistent bonehead making 30m we are...

Suns hire Frank Vogel as next head coach

The problem as I see is that we need 2 starting players at PG and F/C in addition to a more reliable bench.
