Shannon Brown in serious talks with Suns

Shannon Brown is a great run/jump athlete, that should be good a defender for the Suns. He's closer to Barbosa (with jumping ability) talent, than Marion and Stoudemire though.

    Paul to Lakers

Scola and Martin have 2 of the worst contracts out there! Yet the Suns can't/won't find a deal for Vince Carter's contract...

Jerryd Bayless!! That would be sweet!

Anyone else losing interest in the NBA?

I find myself going to U of A messageboards to read more about recruiting lol Basketball will always be my favorite Sport and the Suns will always be my first love. While I don't watch as many games, I still Love watching the Suns. With a year off to give all my attention to College Basketball...

Markieff Morris is now a SUN

I'm not sure Markieff knows his role, I read somewhere he expects to have a better career than Derrick Williams...

    Golden State wants Robin Lopez

OT, but I found this at Arizonasports - 'that pick may very well have been made to somehow, some way, down the road land Steve Nash in a Knicks uniform'. Iman Shumpert and Chauncey Billups, maybe?? Billups' contract is up next year like Nash's - I'd be interested. Two defensive monsters...

Markieff Morris is now a SUN

The 5 worst athlete in the Draft statement - was actually the 5 worse athlete at Draft combine and that's over at Draftexpress. I just watched Kansas at Baylor; Kansas/Richmond (a few days ago), and next up for me is Arizona/Kansas. heh I still think he's more of positional defender...

2011 NBA Draft- Day of Thread

I really believe Markieff will be Kurt Thomas esque. That's who I'd compare him too... from what i remember in 95 Draft, Kurt Thomas wasn't great athletically but he turned out OK. He was the leading scorer (I think) in College but became a solid defender that could shoot, rebound, etc.

Klay Thompson for Robin Lopez?? Sweet!

2011 NBA Draft- Day of Thread

I'm guessing next year it'll be Miles Plumlee, not Mason Plumlee at Pick #14.

2011 NBA Draft- Day of Thread

If Derrick Williams is too small for the PF (like some have mentioned), wouldn't Markieff be too small as well?? About same height and weight - Williams is a lot longer and jumps a lot higher though but if he's too small for the 4...

2011 NBA Draft- Day of Thread

He's a nice defender but the 5th worst athlete in Draft; short arms; undersized but I'm hoping he'll be able to defend at a high level. IMO, he comes off as a big jerk - every game it's elbow here and there. Talking trash Garnett like and talking trash to opposing fans, etc. and talent...

Markieff was the Prospect I liked the least (in my top 40).

    Gambo Tweet latest Draft News..

Iman Shumpert could be Rajon Rondo like on defensive end, along with the rebounding numbers and steals... he made twice as many 3PTers but had similar percantages there (his weakness). He makes 4.5 free throws a game though at around 80 percent. Rondo made around one assist more a game...

    Gambo Tweet latest Draft News..

Georgia Tech lost their 3 big men a year ago (Derrick Favors and Gani Lawal) etc. but were a good Team that last year with that Team. Without looking at stats had a really strong defensive Team... I am in favor of Iman Shumpert but would like a 2nd First Round Pick to get a PF along with...

Per Gambo: Suns Prefer Iman Shumpert over Jimmer

Wesley Person was my Pick in the 1994 Draft, the year before Finley got Drafted and i'm guessing that's what got me so into the NBA Draft as a teenager, those first two years. Suns have a lot of options this year: Kemba Walker, Bismack Biyombo, Tristan Thompson, Chris Singleton and Alec...

Per Gambo: Suns Prefer Iman Shumpert over Jimmer

I remember being so excited when the Suns Drafted Michael Finley! I started paying attention to the NBA Draft in 1994 and watching the Goodwill Games (in whichever year) I fell for Finley's game and come Draft time wanted I Jerry Stackhouse or Finley. Suns got a big time steal in Finley that...

Per Gambo: Suns Prefer Iman Shumpert over Jimmer

Two of the top 6 defenders in the Draft. I'm listening to Gambo & Ash trying to learn more about the Robin Lopez for #11 and Ekpe Udoh Trade rumor but the D'Backs are being mentioned right now. I have Shumpert at #20 but if you read the Chad Ford's of the world - Shumpert and Klay Thompson...

Per Gambo: Suns Prefer Iman Shumpert over Jimmer

I would really Love Drafting Iman Shumpert and I'm coming around (after having talk with my dad) about Markieff Morris, but Morris could be an enforcer type with range on jumpshot (think Kurt Thomas). Shumpert is super athletic at 6'5.5 222 - can play the 1-2-3 and is in top tier...

    Anatomy of a Sleeper

My sleeper pick is Iman Shumpert G Georgia Tech. 6'5.5 222 and the 2nd best athlete in Draft. I have him rated as top 5 defender in this Draft and can guard the 1, 2, and some 3's. Solid rebounder at close to 6 rebounds, around 3-4 assists, around 3 steals... But he get into the lane and...

Suns look to trade up to #2 for Williams

I would Love to make that Trade and Gortat is my favorite player currently. The only issue I have is I believe Derrick Williams could put up Amar'e Stoudemire like numbers at the 4 but I did read he sees himself as 3. Still don't know how I feel about that, he has talent to play the 3 but I'm...
