A bit undersized to be a great fit at the 4, IMO. He could and should get some spot minutes there, but ideally he's playing the 3 if/when we get a legit starter at PF. He's been playing great, regardless.
Yeah, it'd be nice to see Ayton give more effort and hustle. He's mostly just been going through the motions, and at this point in the season that's not acceptable. Holmes may not have half the talent, but he consistently hustles. Ayton should take notes.
It may be best to eat it this year and either draft one or acquire one in FA. There aren't many assets on the team we should be willing to give up. Warren has improved his defense and ability to hit 3's. If he keeps that up he's a borderline all-star caliber player and a yearly 6th man...
He looked a bit slow and stiff after the first few minutes of the tip-off, much more than any time during the preaseason. My guess would be adrenaline playing in his first real NBA game got the better of him. Even the most well-conditioned athletes can get unnaturally fatigued because of...
And from my perspective, this loss feels like a win. This team's been snake-bitten with injuries before the season even started, but IMO they could use another top 5-10 talent on the roster. Either a true #1 WR or shutdown corner.
These Roughing rules are hard to watch though, regardless what...
So as a Niners fan, just curious what Cards fans' takes were on that K'Waun Williams roughing the passer call when he was rushing in, jumped to get a hand on the ball (and maybe got a finger on it?) but then came down on Rosen without ill intent as momentum and the laws of physics dictate...
Our best playmaker is Booker, but he's not a natural PG. Crossing my fingers that Okobo develops but if we get another top 10 pick in the draft, we should lean heavily toward one of the top PG's in the draft unless the talent isn't there at where we're picking.
UFDA that's bounced around the league since '13. Strong 3-point shooter in college. Got his first real opportunity with the Hornets before moving onto Memphis last year. We got him and a 2nd rounder from Memphis in exchange for a conditional 2nd rounder; i.e. basically for nothing.
I was at the game last night. Chriss might have some amazing athletic ability, but you'd never know it the way he moves around like a mopey teenager. Hopefully he learns to grow out of that, and sooner than later.
I'll likely be at the next game @Golden 1 in a few weeks. Crossing my fingers...
Agreed. Hate to see him go down, but it'll give us at least a few games to see if other guys can step up. Can TJ be relied upon to be the #1 scorer when needed?
I don't mind Reed. It's a safe pick, IMO. I think the odds of him being a role player off the bench are better than him being out of the league in 4-5 years.
I'll admit I love Warren probably more than I should. Who doesn't love his preternatural ability to score from 12' in? He'd be a fine starter if he could ever find a consistent 3-point shot and continues to work on defense.
Unless a team comes along and offers us something great for the pick...
I'd be fine with either Jackson or Tatum, and maybe Issac, but I also wouldn't frown at a trade if we got good value for it and filled some needs. Maybe a promising young big? I'm not sold on Len being our future at center.
Not gonna lie, I'm have a hard time watching this team. I've yet to catch a full game, and I've watched parts (usually a half) of about 10 or so. There's virtually nothing to be excited about. At least the last time we were this bad, we had players that were fun to watch. This team is both bad...
