Gentry:"Guard who guards you, like elementary school."

Let's hope nash and or shaq can be packaged for a higher first-rounder this year. Lawson will probably be available a few spots above where we're drafting, but moving up that little wouldn't be worth packaging shaq or nash for. If we could come out with Thabeet, I'd be thrilled. Amare and...

    Suns @ Kings

    When they got Shaq.

    Anyone else amazed?

The Kings aren't the worse team in the league. But no, I am not surprised. The suns aren't a good team and don't play defense, so they will always be vulnerable to even the worst of teams. It happens.

Dallas looses - Suns still alive

It's about time you come down to earth and realize what most of us realized long ago, Andrew.

Dallas looses - Suns still alive

"Too" not only means "also", but it is used to note excess. As in "They played much too loose." or "I've had too much to drink this evening.". I'm glad we've established the meaning of one of the most important 3-letter words in our language. That was certainly a tough task.

I really hope Sarver and Kerr give this team one more year

I never said that he verbally said those words. It would be awkward, obviously, and it would probably make him sound like an idiot. All I'm saying is that he probably said or wrote something along those lines, a bunch of people repeated it after him in their own words, and now we recognize him...

Dallas looses - Suns still alive

You criticize the O.P for putting "loose" instead of "lose", and then you go and say "to" instead of "too". Pot...Kettle...Black. Enough said.

    Official 2009 Draft Thread

Say no to Hansbrough. Please, anyone but him. You're giving Samuels an awful lot of credit. Draftexpress has him listed 69th best in this years draft for a reason.

I disagree. I think he'll be a good scorer for someone. He'd be perfect in Golden state, IMO. I see him becoming a J.R smith type of player (not implying he'll be an idiot off the court). I think Singler has a lot more bust potential than does Henderson.

I really hope Sarver and Kerr give this team one more year

Like i said above, why would new york lose either Nate or Duhon for Nash? Both of those guys are much younger than Nash, and are doing a great job for Mike. They have bigger holes to fill than point guard, and they wouldn't be able to offer us much value if anything at all. Toronto already has...

I really hope Sarver and Kerr give this team one more year

Where do we have to send nash for him to return us any serious value? New York wouldn't give up much, because nash is on his last leg and won't be able to much for long. They're better off with Duhon and Nate. Toronto would be nuts to part with Calderon for Nash, and doesn't have a whole lot...

    Dragic

Then why did you say that you still "maintain" that Dragic is a project and Lopez is a bust, if you thought before they were both busts? Apparently you have changed your mind since the start of the season. I sarcastically labeled your stance as bold because what you said is what nearly...

OT: the Mavs lost to the Hawks

What a game by Carmelo tonight. Those Dallas injuries could be really serious for them if the Suns keep on winning. Kidd and Howard are both good defenders, and Dallas will likely suffer on the defensive end now. Carmelo scored over 40 on them tonight, as the first example.

Nice catch on my pun there. I didn't think anyone would pick it up. I see it attributed to a lot of people as well, but usually to Einstein. A couple of websites apparently dedicated solely to random quotations and their authors have Einstein listed as the owner of that saying, but they have...

Apparently you've never heard the saying before. There was once a relatively smart guy who went by the name of Einstein. Here's his version of what I said: “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” I wasn't quoting any dictionary, moron.

LOOOOOOOOOOOU Amundson RIPS Nene, calls him a dirty player

Maybe I'm missing some joke, but the word you're looking for in your avatar would be "Mamba" as in "Black Mamba", not "Momba".

    Vote for Phoenix's Favorite Sun

That one's tough. JJ was great as a player, but wanted the money more than he wanted to be a part of the suns organization. Shaq has been just as much a part of the suns decline lately as he has been a part of their staying alive in the playoff chase. I can't blame him for this all not working...

With amare, they become a really good offensive team with no defensive abilities. we know that doesn't win anything, so why try it again? Insanity (noun): trying the same thing more than once and expecting different results.

    i miss marion.

I miss his play, not his Marion-ness off the court.

    Shaq wants trade this offseason?

the cavs aren't trading Z. he's one of those guys that will retire with the team he's on, no doubt. He's their all-time leader in rebounds and he is a huge part of their franchise. Plus, he still has game and spreads the floor beautifully for LeBron. Ben will probably be traded, but not Z.

2006 Playoffs Suns/Lakers Game 5 - Remembering the good old days
