Suns show interest in Hakim Warrick

Suns gave 18mil/4y to Warrick. Sarver is a great owner and good at finding bargains. Jul 02, 2010 11:09 AM EST The Suns have agreed to terms on a four-year, $18 million deal with free agent forward Hakim Warrick, sources tell Marc Spears of Yahoo! Warrick played with the Bucks and Bulls...

Rick Bucher ESPN says Amare will not be back in Phoenix.

I hope so. But there are just too many teams with cap space and too few high caliber FAs out there. Let's wait and see.

Coro: Suns lock down frye 5/30m

It's not hate on Frye. Only this signing makes little basketball sense for the Suns anyway you look at it. If Amare leaves without compensation, Frye is insubstantial and absolutely dispensible, and costing us better lottery pick position in addition. If Amare stays, it's still not wise to spend...

Then Frye's contract counts against cap and Suns could still sign for whatever is remaining from the cap, after Amare is gone elsewhere. Easiest way is to have a MOI with Frye and actually sign the contract after Amare issue is cleared.

No. Someone there, on NYK's board also referred to some twitter saying Amare might get a 6y/120m deal, which has to be a s&t 10 mil below the super max.

it was reported that Amare signed with NY. Frye signing was indicative of Amare being gone anyway.

My Frye better than Diaw was sarcasm, sorry that I forgot to put the icon on there.:p But seriously, the market for Frye makes him in position to demand that price. Sarver might just have done it out of panick. IMO, Frye would be a bad signing given his market price whether Amare stays or not.

Suns show interest in Hakim Warrick

we were on track of 60 win season at the start of the past season. If Nash keeps his production over 40 min and 82 games, we will be in the WCF just as in 2006. :p

    Official Offseason Free Agency Thread

Maybe because Sarver bought in on the argument we offered him that Frye instead of Diaw would get us the glory of 2006 again, as long as Nash is still here? If that, it'd be a great investment!;)

Coro: Suns lock down frye 5/30m

Frye is better than Diaw and cheaper. We'll be going to the WCF again, or so fans would be willing to buy it and the tixs. What's to worry about? Market prices = overpaying, for 80% of all FA signings. Either you watch from sideline like Sterling, or you play the game and pay JJ, Gay...

Is he coming for the biannual exception of 1.9 mil, now the MLE has been used on Frye?

ESPN - Where Will Amare Stoudemire Go?

I always said, besides Suns, Miami and Nets made the most sense as Amare destination. Pairing with Wade would be the optimal for him, who is a good p&r guard and a dominant scorer for creating some space of manuvor in the paint.

    :D another point: fiscal responsibility;)

Stoudemire opts out, becomes free agent

Pierce could only sign a 4 year deal, I believe, due to the age 36 rule. But given that KG and Ray Allen are almost done. The roster Brook/Amare/Pierce/Williams/Harris with Favors/CLee could be tempting indeed.

Stoudemire opts out, becomes free agent

Brook's defense is very good too. But he might have developed a bit of Amare tendency of avoiding early fouls that makes him appear less aggressive. If Favors proves his potential as a better version of Horford. That frontline is gonna be scary and would be best in the league.

Eh, Boozer and David Lee would all get Rudy Gay type of contract, maybe?
  21. cly2tw

Stoudemire opts out, becomes free agent

Not least because Brook is a better version of Robin.:D Amare/Pierce on the current Nets would be dominant in the East unless Bosh/Wade/LBJ all went to the same team.

    Houston Interested in Amare??

In this case, given Amare is gone anyway and the team with other tweaks would be one-and-done at best, why not give Nash another chance to contend by shipping him. As for example in my proposal with Nets at http://www.arizonasportsfans.com/vb/f45/swapping-rosters-with-nj-153953.html :D While...

Why Amare SHOULD decide to stay a Sun

Guys, I'm just keeping it a little balanced as it at time seemed that Amare was the scapegoat for majority of fans on this board. And, I'm among the biggest Nash admirers who are not really Nash-can-never-do-wrong worshippers. ;)

Stoudemire opts out, becomes free agent

Hawks are the first 'victim' and just offered the super MAX to JoeJ, who is not really worth it as every Suns fan would say.:D

Getting him, Dirk or Amare, to stay? You mean paying him the market price, right?;)
