12/23: Suns at Heat Game Thread

Looking really good so far, though Heat are without Wade.

    J-Rich and Turk to Magic

Hedo had the highest +/- of 24 in Magic's win over Spurs.

    Suns at Spurs 12-20

I had to work on my project and didn't pay much attention after the halftime. But the refs were screwing up against us, royally! I truly believe we'd have a better chance beating them at the next meeting once our new guys are settled.

    Where are our new acquisitions?

    Suns at Spurs 12-20

I can't believe the calls! Refs have guts to make those wrong calls in a span of a minute, 2 against Dudley, 1 to Hill!

    New Lineup?

Actually, I think we have a good chance to beat the Spurs with the new team as long as Nash is semi healthy.

    Suns @ Thunder, 12/19/2010

Or maybe, it was Nash not Parker, or even both of them, as I heard Nash was divorcing too? :D Brent must be a really mad husband. That'd explain his attitude.:D

    Suns @ Thunder, 12/19/2010

What's Brent Barry's beef against the Suns! Nash was fouled! Westbrook didn't even mouth up any peeps against the call on his 6th.

Childress is an excellent defender indeed!

    Good trade

Talent-wise, Hed/JR for Carter/Pietrus is about even. Carter is a better one-on-one scorer than JRich, which last year's Suns desparately needed in the playoffs and would have in this year's had they kept Amare. Pietrus is the best SG defender Suns ever had, would have complemented to Amare/Nash...

    Knicks coming together

Exactly. The main issue is however the Suns would not give him consistent chances to really get in game experience to improve. For good reasons, as Nash led offense is much more efficient. Yet, fans attribute Amare's lack of improvement in that aspect solely on his lack of ability instead of at...

    Knicks coming together

Stat has always had problems with quick-feeted defenders like Varejao, Joe Anthony, Reggie Evans, Odom at times, etc. They disrupt him well enough for at least help to come in to cause real trouble. He needs to enhance his moves and also be more patient. He is definitely not the complete go-to...

    J-Rich and Turk to Magic

Good trade for Suns. Hypothetically, had they signed Amare to NYK's contract, and Warrick, but not Frye/Childress, and did the Turko trade, we'd have the lineup Lopez/Amare/Hill/Carter/Nash with bench Gortat/Warrick/Dudley/Pietrus/Dragic. I believe this lineup with an improved Amare as his...

Glad you finally realize that too, which I had been called Nash-hater for.:D

    Knicks coming apart

Read closely what I wrote, please. I already answered it all in th post your quoted.:bang: As to his scoring only on Harrington, read Nene's comments in the game review, and watch the game. He made most of his 2nd half points in Nene's face. His main trouble in the 1st half was not hitting...

    Knicks coming apart

In both the Denver and the Washington games, Amare started shooting 1/7 with several TOs, as teams now come prepared for him and the Knicks' game plan. Yet, in both games, Amare's +/- had been in the plus and among the highest throughout the whole game. And he has been the enforcer in the 4th...

My opinion on Amare and Nash

One major difference between Malone's and Amare's situation is the former had been the featured franchise player on Jazz team from day one while Amare has never been featured as the franchise player on the Suns. DA's Suns team has been evolved exclusively around Nash's talent. And Amare has not...

    Blazers at Suns 12-10-2010

well, I could at least root for the good Suns of last year's team on other teams now, Amare and Lou!
  19. cly2tw

    Knicks coming apart

Amare with 11 TOs, a number that'd appease his haters on this board, and Knicks on their continued way of coming apart to echo the title of this thread. ;)

Isn't right now the best time for a trade?

The best way is probably wholesale revamping with Magics: Nash/Hill/Hedo/Frye for Nelson/Carter/Gortat. Carter and Nelson expire soon for Suns to rebuild.

    Knicks coming apart

Suns were playing well inspite of Nash's worn-out legs, because they unleashed Amare who played like the league MVP after ASB. Wait, we have Hedo, Warrick, and Childress to replace Amare. They will do better with more salary committed to them collectively.:bang:

celebrated too early. but there is still hope in overtime.

    Grizzlies at Suns 12-08-2010

I'm now so sure that we'd win the title had we kept the same team by just replacing LB with Turk, and maybe no Frye but some help at defensive C position. Nash would have been able to save energy with Turk handling the ball a lot and Amare continue his development as a franchise player. sigh!

That's the Turk we knew back in Orlando!

So excited for our bench guys, particularly Dudley and Dragic who were here last year.
