    Knicks coming apart

It's not about that Amare gets his stats, it's about how he gets it. He has been steadily improveing on defense and also willing passer avg. over 2 asst per game. All signs hint to his becoming another franchise player who greatly improve their game after separation from Nash, after Dirk and...

    Knicks coming apart

Amare is making Felton look like Nash on offense.;) Both Feltong and Douglas have been learning to keep the dribble alive and wait for the split of second to pass to Amare. And the Knicks just are figuring out, how easy it is to have the offense featured around Amare-p&r. All of a sudden, all...

    Suns at Warriors 12-2-2010

I really like Gentry as coach better than DA. DA would exchange speed with GS and exclusively use his main weapon Nash to exhaustion while lettting Monta abusing us all night long. Out of the TO, Gentry came back with instruction to exploit size advantage of JRich and Hill over Ellis. Smart and...

Monta is an unreal scorer. Lee is not much better than Frye. :)

    Knicks coming apart

Amare's recent comments about defense indicates to me that he misses Gentry's coaching as compared to DA's. That's probably the true sign of Knicks coming apart? ;)

    Knicks coming apart

Here is a recent remark by Amare how he appreciates Gentry's trying to make him a better defensive player last season. http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/knicks/taking_lead_kslem4jis3EuU0yn8NB1bJ?CMP=OTC-rss&FEEDNAME=

    Knicks coming apart

Even just status quo without Frye of last year's team would be a contender, considering Amare was rehabbing half of the season and Nash was already totally worn down by the time of playoffs. Yet, we still managed to go 6 games with evtl champion the Lakers in WCF. Get a Dampier for the vet. min...

Jared Dudley has agreed to a five-year, $22.5M contract extension with the Suns.

That's because Frye and Dudley are more suited as complementary players with BOTH Amare and Nash to draw attentions, while Childress and Warrick have more games of their own. Once Amare is gone, it makes no sense to sign Frye and no real urgency to extend Dudley.

    Knicks coming apart

I disagree. Suppose we have Amare for the contract of Knicks. We let Frye and Lou go. Get Childress and a good C/F or two for LB's contract + MLE. We'd be better than last year and as good of a contender as anybody in the league but Lakers. Gentry had the team with Amare and JRich on the...

    Knicks coming apart

The downturn for the Knicks came when Turiaf was injured and DA played smallball with Amare at C. Now, Turiaf is back and Amare at PF, they play much better defense. Their offense is just chaotic. Their motions via pick and screens are inefficient. And Amare's jumper has been non-existent, so...

    Suns @ Lakers, 11/14/2010

Nash in the form of the last 2-3 games would have won us the championship last year! This year, the Suns are a totally European style of team: It has no power or inside game but if the running game and perimeter shooting get going, they could beat any team, just not in a 7-game series. Gentry...

    Game 2 Suns at Jazz

Suns team is now like an European one. They need to play like a team all the time with no lapses on defense by anyone. Nash gave great effort staying with his man on defense, in limited minutes, tonight. If we keep it this way and shoot enough 3s, we will have good chance to make the playoffs...

    Game 1: Suns at Portland

Speechless! Nash and Gentry finding excuse for their failure and playing armchair GM, by alluding to Amare.

This will happen all season long...

That's what happened last season. Before Amare broke out after the ASB, and after the initial 20+ game of success with Nash and Frye, we started to regularly lose games in the 4th quarter in the pattern described in the opening post. Teams would tighten up defense and Nash would be exhausted by...

Steve Nash Frustrated As Phoenix Suns Enter Season

That's what majority of the board wanted, because 2 more years as contenders are not worth it to give Amare some guarantee.

Suns pick up option for Robin Lopez

Players like Clark need to be on a lottery team to get a lot of times to mature. Wait, I don't understand why not to extend him now... Are we again doing the same saving moves like when we dumped KT's contract while handling one the Banks one? Weird!
