If the AllStar game is played here in 2011 does anyone see a protest from foreign born players? Edit: Quote deleted because article was altered by ESPN

    Diamondbacks 2010 Season Thread

Chris Young has the song "Whatever you like" by TI as his intro, so I responded I would like a homer. Young has got that ESPN* going. He has been on fire to start the year and what is most impressive is that he only has 2 strikeouts so far this year (no walks is a concern but not when he is...

Edwin Jackson quickly allows a homer to Andrew McCutchen. 2-2 Edwin has been hammered really hard so far this year against two of the WORST offensive teams in baseball. Not a good start for his D'backs career. EDIT: Scherzer starts tomorrow for the Tigers in his second start of the...

D'backs place Montero on the 15-day disabled list

http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/player_main.aspx?sport=MLB&id=4197 Chris Snyder will now be starting and John Hester was just recalled from Triple-A to back-up. This is not good news as Montero was really starting to become one of the better hitting catchers in the NL.

    D'Backs, Upton Close to Extension

    Can you smell it?

Agreed, having Upton batting #2 would be a complete waste of his talent. The team needs someone like Parra in the two hole because he can take pitches and put the bat on the ball allowing the leadoff hitter to see some moves from the pitcher. I would like to see Montero in the #4 spot early in...

At Least Lute Recruited Some Classy Kids-Miller hires and recruits the Thug Mentality

And then I could just link Steve Kerr to you and we have come full circle, doomed to repeat ourselves. Pot, kettle, black... EDIT: Also, I am not entirely sure that if he did throw a water bottle that he would have hit his target. Just going with the track record. :-)

Vontaze Burfict was doing his best LeGarrette Blount impersonation. Give him two more years and he will have it down. :wink2: Also, I love this "the punch missed" portion of the past few posts... since when does missing with a punch negate it entirely?

    Diamondbacks Sign Adam LaRoche

I would completely disagree. Parra's arm is much better than CY's and to say that CY is better than Parra in center is spliting hairs. The only thing that CY can do in center better than Parra is cover move ground. Both are above average defenders. The only difference between the two is...

    Diamondbacks Sign Adam LaRoche

I was talking about starting over Young. If CY didn't lose his job last year, I have no idea what it would take to get him out of the lineup. If Parra is our 4th outfielder behind CY at the start of the season, AJ should be fired on the spot.

    Diamondbacks Sign Adam LaRoche

ummmm what about Parra? He is an ideal #2 hitter and Johnson should not be leading off. Once again Drew is probably our best bet starting off the lineup. Also, with this signing, the Diamondbacks need to clear one roster spot. Nick Piecoro says it could be Eric Brynes. :D...
