    UDFA Thread

I've seen conflicting reports on Bevins' size. I've read that he measured in at 6'4" 274 lbs. at his pro day. http://www.crestonnews.com/2017/04/27/bevins-awaits-nfl-call/aqxe4x7/

    UDFA signings

It's always interesting to go back and look at these threads after preseason to see where some of these less heralded UDFAs came from. It's interesting to note that the last two years we've had multiple guys that came in on a tryout after the draft and later proved to be great finds. Meaning...

    Predicting BA&SK's 53

Great stuff from Mitch Couple random notes: Disappointed that Kareem Martin got hurt. I hope it's a minor injury. I thought he was playing by far his best football since he'd been drafted. I obviously don't know who will all be on the practice squad, but if we don't have a number of players...

Speculating Steve Keim's 2016 Draft Game Plan

It just seems like the Cardinals scout on a much deeper level under Keim than we did previously. We seem to draft less "names", but our success is infinitely higher. I remember the 2005 draft when we drafted a bunch of highly successful college players with big names such as J.J. Arrington...

    Dodgers vs. Dbacks

I'll never understand why major league managers get so married to relievers only pitching certain innings. You are up 2 runs on a division rival with one out and two on and you go to Randall Delgado??? Why can't you use Ziegler there who's best attribute is getting a double play ball? Or use...

    Cards make push for Irvin

Brock Huard was just on the Burns and Gambo show and said he has a good source that says Oakland and Arizona have been the most aggressive in their pursuits of Irvin. Take it for what it's worth...

    A. Q. Shipley...NICE game!

It's always great to see your backups play well when called upon. Especially with some of the oline depth problems we've experienced in the past. Keim's offensive line track record has been really interesting. His free agent pickups have all been great. Veldheer, Iupati, Larsen, and now...

    Cardinals' Practice Squad Signings

He's a pretty talented kid. He ran a 4.49 40 and jumped 36 inches coming out of college. He's still relatively new to the TE position and there was a point where GB had fairly high hopes for him. It would be great to see him develop on the practice squad and contribute at some point in the future.

    Logan Thomas Claimed by Dolphins

Please explain this. Not trying to be rude, but I don't really understand the connection between this and the release of Jones-Quartey. I did like the way JQ tackled in the pre-season, but I don't get the connection between him and BA sucking up to hammy pulled vets. Also, how has he sucking up...

Need to Cut 12 by Tuesday

Agreed. If I remember correctly Crisp received the largest bonus of any of our undrafted free agents this year. I think they'd like to at least see what they have in him. Update: I was wrong. Fua received the most, but Crisp was second.

I think the Cards are Drafting Danny Shelton, DT, Washington in the first

I wouldn't be shocked to see Shelton slide, and I actually think Malcolm Brown is likely to be drafted ahead of him.

Masters Weekend Thoughts With a Mock of Course

I think this is the year the Cardinals get aggressive in trying to move up for a pass rusher. I remember after last years draft that Jay Glazer reported the Cardinals were aggressively trying to trade up to the 10th spot to draft Anthony Barr, but he went 9th overall to the Vikings. Our pass...

Should Arizona exercise Floyd's 2016 option?

If we attribute it all to a Fitz decline, and we expected him to decline this rapidly, then both of his last two contract were a HUGE mistake. Don't get me wrong, I still love Fitz, but it's obvious there is a double standard between our expectations for Fitz and Floyd. I think reality is...

Should Arizona exercise Floyd's 2016 option?

I find it interesting that over the last two years Floyd has 144 more receiving yards and one fewer TD than Fitz, yet people are willing to make all kinds of excuses for Fitz that somehow don't apply to Floyd.

    BB Mock v.1.0

Unless they view the replacement as a clear upgrade. It was clear they viewed Williams as nothing more than a part time player who didn't add much value on third down. Williams got paid more than they thought he was worth so they moved on. If they think Brown has more versatility and adds value...

Should Arizona exercise Floyd's 2016 option?

I think Floyd is a good player and I'd hate to see us lose a young talent like him. Arians mentioned a couple weeks ago that he thinks Floyd was hurt the most by the constant changing of QBs last year. I did find it interesting that the Cardinals brought Brashad Perriman in for a visit. $9...

Byron Jones - CB - Connecticut visiting Cardinals today

I don't think Jones ever played safety at UConn. Could you possibly be thinking of Eric Rowe, the fast rising DB from Utah? The Jones situation reminds me a little bit of Deone Bucannon last year. Neither received a ton of buzz until late in the process (notably the combine), but also...

    BA&SK and QBs

I see where you're coming from. However, maybe they just want to be prepared in the event Hundley slips to somewhere where the risk/reward makes sense to them. I'm completely in favor of the organization being exhaustive in their evaluation of QBs. We know how hard it can be to find a good one...

    BA&SK and QBs

I don't think this is double speak at all. Would you rather they stop doing their due diligence on QBs in the upcoming draft because they already have a project on board? That seems irrational. How do we know they didn't try to make a trade? In order to make a trade you have to be comfortable...

    AQ Shipley a Cardinal

Just saw that he's visiting the Seahawks tomorrow. Shipley is interesting because the NFL's opinion of him obviously differs from the grades he gets from PFF. It will be interesting to see who's right (if he plays). At this point, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Cameron Erving...

Brian Orakpo to visit Titans then Cards

Jurecki is saying Orakpo will be in tomorrow, which implies he's coming here before going to Tennessee. Wonder who is right. https://twitter.com/mikejurecki/status/575480263607590915
