    This would be a valid argument if the cost of acquiring said prospects was not astronomical. However, we are talking about trading a guy who is 1 year removed from an MVP caliber season and being paid well below market over the next 3 seasons for a bunch of guys that may or may not pan out.

The result is typically a roster that is worse than what it was to begin with. Not sure why we want more SP prospects considering we have a lot of young, good caliber depth...

    Problem is that we have a similar 3B prospect in Matt Davidson that is close to MLB ready, so a package with Olt as the centerpiece doesn't make much sense.
