So as we've all guessed, our only nationally televised game is the Niners game in Mexico.

The good news is that we open up the season arguablly the easiest four games of the season. I think there is a good chance we could go 3-1 in that time and have folks talking about the Cards being for real before the schedule toughens up.

Another big plus, IMO is that the end of year game against the Colts, could very well be meaningless for them and could be for all the chips for us. I can easilly see a scenario where the Colts are just resting their guys for the playoffs, while we have to win to get in. Definately good timing for that game.

Actually, the last two weeks could work in our favor with Philly and Indy resting players.

Of course, we open in NY on 9/11...

It's the same thing they did last year against NE. It actuially ended up being a very mild day- the one day out of the year I was actually HOPING it would be 120+ and it was an overcast day... Oh well, this is our last year with a weather advantage if you can call it that so I'm glad we have this early September game.

i think we might race out to a nice 8-5 record, everyone will be talking about us, and then we crash in the last three games to finish 8-8. though the philly/indy games being at the end really might play in our favor . . .

I like the schedule. After the first six games 4-2 is a real possibility if our offense is anything like Green, Rowen, and Warner say it will be.

Question. If the NFL is playing games on Sunday, Jan. 1 then how will the college championship schedule pan out?

Jersey...

Call me paranoid but I wouldn't be anywhere near an NFL stadium in New York on September 11th.

NFL games are a well known terror target.

Actually, I hadn't even thought about going to that game. But now you got me thinking, lol!

The stadium isn't in NYC, but I know that really doesn't matter. I don't suspect that the terrorists would purposely hit us again on the 11th but then again, what do I know about how terrorists think?

I'll probably just stay home and watch the game in the privacy of my own home ... by myself ... with my cats (one being feral) ... no one else loves the Cards around here. :(

IIRC, the Cards play the team in the NFC North with the same position in the division as them (3rd) on the road and the team in the NFC South with the same position in the division as them, CAR this year.

These are mostly pre-determined games.

In 2003 the Cards played in Detroit because they played the entire NFC North (Packers, Vikings, Bears, Lions). The Detroit game was scheduled by the NFL as an away game along with the Chicago game. They will host Detroit and Chicago here in Glendale in 2006.

Last season we played the NFC North 4th place finisher and this year the same. The league schedules them 2 years in the row with the same division and location. In 2007 and 2008 the Cards will play the same place finisher in the NFC North at home (Glendale). Hopefully by then it won't be the Bears and Lions.
