Actually, their core is pretty young.

Howard - 23
Lee - 23
Nelson - 27
Pietrus - 27
Redick - 24

Rashard Lewis is 29 which is kind of up there, but still young enough to play quite a few more years. Their oldest significant player is Turkoglu and he's 30. Their in shape to contend for quite a while.

Redick as part of the core? Come on.

How are Redick, Pietrus, and Lee are part of the core but Lewis and Heido aren't?

Come on binkar, who really gives two craps about anything? Rappin Roca and I fling barbs from time to time, no big deal. Some people like Gee and Roca get so ridicu-bent about the Lakers that they don't really represent reality. Most people on this board can discuss basketball without flipping out about one of the teams involved being the Lakers.

And that's why I post here. I'm not a big fan of circle-jerk posting, so I don't post much on Lakers forums like Lakersground. I enjoy the camaraderie and head-butting in here, and have for several years including the many times the Suns fans would rub the Suns success over the Lakers in my face. No big deal, man. It is what it is.

Getting bent because several people, both Suns fans and Laker fans, are discussing the NBA finals, then telling certain posters to **** because their team is winning and you can't handle it is kind of silly IMO.

And, FYI, I post less in this forum with the Lakers being successful than I did when the Suns were running the division and beating the Lakers down. Take that for whatever way you want to take it.

I apologize. My intent wasn't to piss you off or anything. In all reality I am just a jealous Suns fan whos team is on the unfortunate decline and I am in serious denial about it. Since I am in this vulnerable and depressed state about my team I am sensitive to getting Laker (the team I hate more than any other team in all professional sports) success rubbed in me or other Suns fans face. I am not saying its right to tell someone to ****, nor is it right to kick someone while their down.

I am just writing useless stuff pay no attention to me.

Oh I hate the Lakers more than anything on this earth. I hate Kobe his attitude and his arrogance and nearly everything else about him (including his fake tough guy attitude that he always puts on but only after he is assured that people are holding him back). I hate him because under 2 years ago he wanted to abandon that team and leave until they lucked out with the most lopsided trade in NBA history (conspiracy). I hate Lamar Odom. I hate Fisher for his contract situation with Utah and I am perfectly aware that his childs health was the supposed reason for his exit. I hate Gasol because he is nasty, ugly, annoying, and looks like a complete idiot when he is trying to jump into his teammates after timeouts and stuff. I hate Phil Jackson because he even whines when things go well. I hate Andrew Bynum and his "I am injured but hoisting playmates on my shoulders" stupidity. I hate Sasha Vujacic and his nasty hair and annoying demeanor. I hate Jordan Fisher for almost no reason at all. I hate the Lakers and everything about them.

But the thing that sucks is that regardless of how much I hate them they are winning the title and my team isn't so there is no possible way I can win an argument with them. All I can do is tell them how much I hate their team. But at the end of the day I have to live with the fact that they are better than my team. But not for long, because the suns will rise again and I can't wait for the Lakers to suck again.

No apologies needed. Hating the Lakers is cool, I haven't got a problem with it. I'm a Celtic Hater to the core, so I get it. I also know it's pretty silly when it comes down to it at the end, but I do detest the Celtics (and anything Boston, really). I greatly dislike the Spurs too, so I can commiserate with Suns fans there.

Well done! That's some good hate right there (and good reasons on many of them).

Though I don't know how anyone could hate Lamar Odom. He's a guy I think I'll be a lifelong fan of, despite him doing some of the DUMBEST things on the court I've ever seen and being way frustrated by him.

The Lakers hate never went away after Kareem retired.. The Lakers hate never went away after Magic retired.. The Lakers hate never went away in the transition from the 80's/90's championship teams to the crap teams and from the crap teams to the Kobe/Shaq years and from the Kobe/Shaq years to the Kobe falling on his face teams and from the falling Kobe falling on his face teams to this current one.. The consistant in all of this are the Lakers fans and their jacked up attitude.. That is the source of all the hate.. And your posts just further the hate along in allyour gloating and gushing over your purple and piss yellow team.. You do nothing to stop the hater, in fact to advance it.. So while you in live in some jackassery Lakers love land, you and your Laker sfans buddies, are the reason for the hate.. It has nothing to do with jealousy, because lets be honest, everyone would love to win it all.. Maybe my post wasn't clear, but never did I say that Lewis and Heido weren't part of the core. I listed their ages as well, I was just listing their younger players. In the 2nd part of the post I address those two players.

I also wasn't saying Redick was part of the Core, I was just listing some of their "more important" players if you will to show that the majority if the team is young. I don't consider Redick a "core" player like Lewis or Heido, but he's pretty solid off their bench.
