Things just need to be spelled out for some people apparently. This isn't a "feel bad about suns losing" thread or a "change the NBA rules" thread or a "I'm a better fan than you because I want them to win" thread. It's about enjoying what is and what we have to gain by losing. I never realized a tanking thread needs to be explained in such elementary details. Almost every losing team has a tanking thread...They seem to get it minus the guilt and bs.

Nobody has to leave the thread....Everyone is important on here. Just get into a successful tank and dont be bumming ppl out who are into it. We are in a LOADED draft and the suns are closing in on the Lakers for number two spot. Does it get much better than this?? I mean how often are the suns in this position? Other teams are ENVIOUS of what we got going on with our draft and young talent. We killed it last draft and we are going to kill it again.

You guys aren't going to be like this on draft day are you???

Yeah this process can be a bit gruelling when you think about it. Have to finish out the season...Have to play lotto to get the order...Have to wait for the draft to see who chooses what. Still, after we pick a player we'll have him locked up for YEARS. That's worth everything.

OK. I haven't moaned and groaned about the tank. I do think a thread like this is an appropriate place to talk about fixing the problem of tanking, which I do not think is helpful for the league. The rules right now encourage it, so it would be foolish for the Suns to NOT do it given the present circumstanc

I wholeheartedly agree! I'm not trying to single anyone out...No one has done anything tragic. I appreciate everyones input I just wanted this to be more of a party feel good thread where we ALL can look forward to this draft. I mean this is a very unique time in suns history and could be the turning point. Let's appreciate the moment!

John Gambadoro did the math and we hit 60 losses if we lose out. He is freaked out by that. I don't care, it's just a number. You don't make the playoffs, what does it matter? I forgot how many years it has been, but when we missed the playoffs by one game, that sucked. Otherwise, if you know you are out of playoff contention, I am fully on board with the Suns playing their youth and giving them all the minutes. I hate when teams are so far out of it, and they refuse top let the young guys in games because they are trying to win so hard for the fans. I want to see Booker, Chriss, Uliss, Bender, etc. I want them to get minutes and get better before next season. Why have all the veterans play in meaningless games and have your young guys sit and never develop, and next thing you know their rookie contracts are up and you have no clue how they play in the NBA?

I'm unfazed by 60 losses if we reach it....I'm actually proud of it because that's how we turn this team around. There's no "moral victory" here. Either we're stupid or we're smart...End of story. The Knicks tried to win every game at all costs every year and look at the mess they're in...That team is a disaster with NO HOPE.

We are still 1/2 game behind the Lakers for the 2 spot. The Lakers have 8 games left. We need some teams to rest starters against the Lakers here pretty quick!
