You can always tell when Saunders is getting tired when he starts slinging his left leg too far on the delivery trying to get more umph on his pitch. Saw it in the sixth.

It always seems like walks come back to haunt you.

I know I raised hell over the HBPs, but if Philly wants to plunk Sean Burroughs, I think I'm in favor of that.

There's nothing with a good ass kicking occasionally.
It's how you respond.

We win tomorrow to take 2-out-of-three vs. the strongest team in baseball, in their home park, who pitched both of their top two starters vs. one of our top two . . . we can be very proud of that. Even if we lose two out of three in those circumstances, we can be proud.

Wednesday's game drew the largest Philly crowd of the year. We have arrived!

Looking forward to tomorrow's game. I'm sure Gibson will have these guys pissed and ready to play.

That was after his 5th inning AB when he sprinted to first and it ended up being a foul ball. I noticed before the 6th he was sucking a little wind and perspiring a bit too much.

I think Saunders is a good pitcher, but I dont think he is a great athlete.

Love those stinking Phillies. :)

I have zero love for any Pennsylvania pro sports teams.

Seriously.

Wait, let me check...

Football: Steelers and Eagles.

Baseball: Pirates and Phillies.

Basketball: 76ers

Hockey: Penguins and Flyers.

Hmmm....

Nope. Zero love.

Maybe less than zero even.

Not trying to rain on your parade (I'm really not), but the Phillies have 180+ consecutive regular season home sellouts. Doesn't matter who they're playing; they have sold over 45,000 tickets to all but three games this season. And they have better home attendance than any other club in the league.

So? And I hate your Lakers more than any other professsional sports team, so I'll call it even.

I know Jersey-ites get this confused quite a bit, but Philadelphia isn't in New Jersey. Just FYI. Hope that clears it up for you.

Distance from my birthplace to Philly? 20 minutes.

Distance from my birthplace to, oh, wait, there is no baseball team in New Jersey.

Not to mention that it's a free country and all and I can like whatever team I wish.
