I changed my sig just for you JG!

:p

:biglaugh:

That's awesome, especially since I am a teacher, lol.

You know I love you, Matt. FWIW, I attend many Dbacks games each year and cheer loudly for them. I hate the Braves with a passion unknown to most, but hope they beat the Giants since the Braves are zero threat to the Phils this year.

I know Jersey-ites get this confused quite a bit, but Philadelphia isn't in New Jersey. Just FYI. Hope that clears it up for you.
Jersey consists of three appendages -- the New York suburbs (including the shore), the Philly suburbs and the area at the bottom of the state from which came the name The Garden State.

True, Philadelphia isn't in New Jersey but, then, neither is much else in the way of industry, cultural centers or entertainment.

Except for Jon Bon Jovi, Springsteen and Sinatra.

Oh, I almost forgot, they have Gov. Chris Christy, who many NJ residents refer to as the Fat F**k.

Not my shore (Sea Isle City). :)

Jersey is, has been and always will be fodder for jokes and insults. Doesn't bother me anymore. I lived there and loved it for a long time, though I am glad to be in AZ (which has its own set of problem) now, especially now that they got that Fat You-Know-What governor. :)

I have zero love for any Pennsylvania pro sports teams.

Seriously.

Wait, let me check...

Football: Steelers and Eagles.

Baseball: Pirates and Phillies.

Basketball: 76ers

Hockey: Penguins and Flyers.

Hmmm....

Nope. Zero love.

Maybe less than zero even.

I grew up in New Jersey and Philadelphia is one city I would never live in. Philadelphia fans are obnoxios jerks(being nice with that choice of word) who are even worse than New York fans, and that is saying a lot.

Not trying to rain on your parade (I'm really not), but the Phillies have 180+ consecutive regular season home sellouts. Doesn't matter who they're playing; they have sold over 45,000 tickets to all but three games this season. And they have better home attendance than any other club in the league.
Yahoo! presented it in a little more positive light, in their recap of tonight's game.

A crowd of 45,894 was the 199th straight sellout at Citizens Bank Park, including postseason play, and the largest in the regular season in the ballpark’s eight-year history.

Besides, it rains on parades in NJ, not in Phoenix -- unless the parade is held overnight during monsoon.

I'm from Northern New Jersey, Bergen County to be exact. Went to Beach Haven every summer and just to let everyone know, The Situation and most of the Jersey Shore members are not from Jersey. :)

I wasn't arguing the fact, and I really wasn't trying to be a jerk. It WAS the highest attendance this season (though not by that much). I just don't think it was necessarily because they were playing the D'Backs.

I used to twirl baton in parades when I was growing up in Jersey, btw. It might make you happy to know that I got rained on more than once while marching down the street twirling those machetes. Did not do wonders for the '80s big hair, btw. :)

Actually, I think Situation is from Jersey. Sammy is. So pathetic I know that, lol.

Lots of nice places at the Jersey Shore. Seaside is a dump.

But, enough about this. Back to baseball!

Um, no.

I am from South Jersey. Bobettes of Gloucester County. We had the cutest sequined outfits.

I should look for some pics and move this discussion to the EE forum where it belongs.

Guys lets not turn this into a Philly bashing thread.

Props to the Phillies for kickin our butts. I had a meeting this afternoon, when I went in it was 2-2, when I came out it was 9-2 :( DAMNIT!

Rubber game tomorrow against the Phillies in front of a sell out crowd (even if it's not because of us) with playoff implications? GOOD TIMES!

Go Dbacks!

Yea... but, Kennedy was getting kicked around pretty good and our guys seem to be falling back to their old ways at the plate. Maybe the delay will give them a chance to regroup...

Indeed, so I guess it's been long enough that Kennedy is done now right? If so, Owings?
