I agree. The ump at home seems to have an agenda today and it doesnt bode in our favor.

There is so much wrong with the current state of MLB... but, at the top of the list is how Umpires now believe they have the right to inject themselves into the spotlight by looking for reasons to battle with players... PATHETIC!!!

This is the same power crap that ump pulled with Montero a couple of months ago. The ball was clearly six inches low but the ump called it a strike to show him "who's boss."

This kind of thing shouldn't be tolerated by the league.

The thing is Upton didn't even do anything HORRIBLE, he only charged at the ump AFTER the ump ejected him.

I am glad that Gibby prevented Justin from going any further though, maybe saved him a suspension or something.

This is where CY needs to step up and produce. He needs to pick up his mate and his team. Right now!!
Upton has been getting crap pitches for the past month simply because opposing teams would rather put him on base and take their chances with CY...

Right now CY!! DO IT!!!

CY has a terminal case of Eric Byrnes Disease.

Then there is Ryan Roberts. Even if he has gone hitless during the first six or seven innings, you can count on him to come through. Whether it is getting on base to start a rally or hitting a homerun to end the shutout and tie the score in the 8th, as today.

Intangibles. Much better than stats.

Edit: The same with Bloomquist with his two-run triple to the opposite field.

Seriously... he's pathetic... I know he's not 100% (fighting some sort of hand injury), but, I just can't believe he represents the best option for us. He even looked totally lost on that triple by Beltran. Ugghhhh....

Willie Bloomquist!

Loved him at ASU love him with the DBacks!!!

Got a chance to have a talk with him I was in the NAVY, I was stationed in Bremerton Wa and was friends with some of his high school pals from South Kitsap HS. Awesome dude real down to earth. So glad to see him having a good year with the DBacks.

I rarely get to watch the D-Backs being where I am at but MLB Network went to the 8th inning and showed pretty much every pitch...what timing!

Great inning! Now to close things out in the next 2 innings, don't the D-Backs have the best record in baseball when winning after 8 innings?

Young drops down below .230 after going 0 for 4 with three lazy pop--ups and a strikeout. Gibby has to bite the bullet and sit his ass for an extended period of time. He's useless...

Such a big win today! Think about how different winning versus losing was today. Winning 2 of 3, being 7 games up and ripping the Giants's hearts out versus losing 2 of 3, only being 5 games up and giving the Giants confidence and hope.

Yay for the ripping of hearts!

Suck it, SF!
