I really think they won the division today. I know it's not technically over but I don't see how the Giants are going to come back from this.

Just heard this stat: if the DBacks go 11-11 the rest of the way, the Giants would have to go 18-4 to win the division.

Young drops down below .230 after going 0 for 4 with three lazy pop--ups and a strikeout. Gibby has to bite the bullet and sit his ass for an extended period of time. He's useless...
Over the years, including when he was sent down to the Minors a couple of years ago, no matter how many popups and strikeouts he had, his fielding never suffered.

Lately, it seems that he's not getting to balls, or at the proper angle, that he has in the past. His hand has nothing to do with that. That's his psyche. Especially as he has to watch the rest of the team deliver.

We don't need a black hole on the offense and defense, especially one who is injured. He had not only one walk-off homerun (which led to a bobblehead night), but one homerun -- period, in about a month and a half. Still he tries to put every ball into the air.

Trying to hit vertically every pitch that is coming in horizontally, with a bad hand, calls for adjustments. We haven't seen any.

Just back from the game. Sold out again for the 72th consecutive time. Their fans really support the Giants. It was great winning the game. I told everyone around me that the DBacks were coming back and they did. Heard a lot of "DBacks suck!" but just laughed kept going.

That's kind of fun to say but I think "72nd" is usually the preferred version.;)

Got me Gary Grammar. Too anxious typing about the game. Have to slow down. :D Anyway, it was tough to sit through the game until the DBacks broke through in the 8th. I hate to say I told them so, but I did. Over and over.

I haven't really watched baseball in years so I am making an attempt to get back with it since the Suns are done and who knows what will happen with football. Knowing as little as I do and just based off last year my prediction is:

63-99

Glad I was wrong about this!

This season has been so fun. I took my daughters to their first game this season and now they ask me all the time if the Dbacks won today and if they did, they demand that I pull up "D'Backs Swing" on youtube and play it like they do in the stadium after a win. Good times. We rocked it out EXTRA loud today. :)

The Dbacks are making me completely forget about the Suns and the BS NBA lockout. Which is hard to do because I'm a HUGE Suns fan. The lockout + Robert Sarver's management of the team has dropped my Suns interest level down from a 10 to a 7.

I know baseball doesn't get a ton of love, but there's really nothing better than sitting back, drinking a few beers, and watching a game. Especially when your team is in contention.

Do I expect them to do much in the playoffs? (If they get there.) No, not really. But I wouldn't put it past them. They've already proved everyone wrong during the season.

What I'm more excited about is how good this team can be 2-3 years from now when everyone is reaching their prime. The Dbacks have a ridiculous amount of minor league talent. Should be fun to watch them all develop.

The DBacks are a fun team to watch. With Gibby as manager, he has them believing in themselves and never quitting. Its just like he played the game.

How many guys have been thrown out at home this year? Williams needs to understand he doesn't have to send everyone home, especially when there is only one out and when the runner is Blanco.:bang:

I was completely thinking that. Why on earth does he have a freaking job sending runners since he fails at it so often?

Sending an old catcher on a ball that lands directly in front of the outfielder AND that outfielder has an arm? He was out by a mile!

And it is worse because your 2 and 3 hitters were coming up with just one out AND the guy at first has speed.

Everything says "Hold him at third"
