this might be a rogue belief because clearly LBJ went to miami on the condition that bosh went too. but is it crazy to think that maybe they could trade bosh to clear cap space and go after solid veterans to deepen their roster? I think they don't need bosh. bosh fits in on a team where he is more of a focal point IMHO. they need big guys who are talented, but will fit a role. bosh seems like he is lost out there. not something that is worth a max contract if you ask me.

What bugs me is that there will be continuing opportunities for vets to start taking the minimum to be bench players on the Heat in order to win a ring.

Look at the teams that have one rings as of late. Lakers, Spurs and Celtics all had guys on their squads that took less for a shot at a ring. They have guys who could start on other squads coming off their benches. It's been happening forever in this league. I don't begrudge the Heat for doing what other teams have been doing to win rings as well.

Until the league somehow prohibits this type of behavior the Heat won't be the last either.

lebron said they copied boston's approach. the only problem is that boston had one of the most talented young PG's in the game in rondo. they also had tough guys like perkins, davis, and posey on that bench. that was almost the perfect storm for them. the heat will run this league if they get good players like that to support their stars.

and the league won't prevent it. look all of them do it. it is the smart way to go. not every nba all star is cut out to being "the guy" or in the heat's case the 2 guys. a lot of great players have taken this approach on surrounding themselves with other greats. the problem for the heat is clear. there is way too much of a drop off after the big 3. haslem has a ring having been a role player on a title team. and he played well those playoffs. but the rest of those guys couldn't cut it on their other stops either when they were role players. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but they have role players that couldn't cut it as role players on other non championship caliber teams. they need strong veterans who are legit consistent nba players. grant hill would be a perfect guy for that team. steve nash would too.

the fact that the heat are playing as well as they are is a tribute to the greatness of LBJ and dwade. I have no doubt that these guys are going to win titles once they get the right supporting cast. it kind of reminds me of when kobe and shaq started to come together. you could tell they were going to explode once it played out.

All great points. Haslem was a shot in the arm. he might have saved their playoff lives...then give credit to lebron for closing the game out with some cold blooded shots. if he can shoot like that late in games then they will be tough for anyone to beat.

I don't see haslem playing that well every night because chicago might adjust to him. but there is no reason to think that he can't. with all the attention that the 2 and a half men get...there's no reason to think that any solid bench player can't step up and dominate at times. haslem obviously has some swagger that the other bench guys just don't have. they almost stand around and watch the big 3 at times. I agree with cheesebeef. I think this is a war and this type of game is what we all expected to see in game 1 before chicago shocked everyone with their offense. I can see this being a long series for sure. that still favors chicago in my opinion, but now the heat are starting to make me believe that they can beat the bulls.

Two and a Half Men... that's pretty funny.

I can't make this up...i heard it on the radio today.

I guess lebron is charlie.

dwade is jake.

and bosh is allan.

if you watch the show you know what I mean.

I honestly think two and a half men is the way they should be called. half of the people say the "big three" the other half only acknowledge "the two stars"

I like bosh..he is a dallas guy. but if I were a heat fan it would bother me that his contract is equal to the other 2. they could get more for their money by spreading that around to other players. JMHO

bosh is clearly an all star player in the NBA. i just don't think he fits in with the other 2 because they are both all time greats at their respective positions.

I know your happy because your boy played well last night. if anyone is high it should be you right now. I really hope it is a heat mavs final. believe me I want nothing more than to see the heat rather than the bulls.

If Dattass is having this much trouble with the Thunder while playing at home, than the brotha Gee has it right. Think about it, you guys have to rely on that midget everygame now, and he can't bring it everygame. They gonna get extra worked in the OKC.

they are a good road team(dallas). i think they can win one there. and still win this one. but we will see. the thunder are a tough team to defend.

Wow still no Westbrook, 5 bucks says he aint in OKC next year.

Yeah I dont watch the Thunder much, but that kid seems to be a punk. Even when his teammates try to talk to him on the court he always turns his back or pulls away from them.

And Kidd misses the wide open 3. Mr. Choke strikes again! Maybe he'll flip off the crowd next.

man, we could be in for a really good show the rest of the playoffs. I can see both these series going 7.

yeah...this could be 7. we will see how it turns in OKC. I think the thunder played very well in both games. after the first quarter they really were the better team. their guys stepped up and played well as a team. even westbrook played well. he had a bad finish to the third quarter and didn't want to respect his coach obviously. but the guy bounced back from his bad game. I thought they did a great job on dirk too. dallas just played too poorly in the 4th aside from dirk. it seemed like he scored almost all their points, but it wasn't enough.

Dallas have some really stupid players (Marion,Terry) and Kidd still thinks he can shoot. But they have Dirk so it evens things out.

NOTE: Hey, LeBron James and other NBA players. If your hairline is receding, and you wear a headband to hide it guess what:

the headband might be the reason your hair is falling out and it is not hiding anything anyway.
