Before the season a LOT of people on this board were ripping the Kubel signing.
Without him the Dbacks would be about 8 games below .500 instead of one.

Also people have given up on Roberts and I'm not saying they're unjustified but if we were playing a pick up game today I'd take him over Upton.

I was one that was not pleased with the Kubel signing.

Good thing I am not the GM :)

Hell, I'd take just about anybody over Upton right now. :bang:

Snakes lose 2-0 despite a big league outing by Joe tonight after a shaky 1st. Once again the Dbacks line-up is the cure for a struggling pitcher as Santana takes a perfect game into the 7th, finishing with a CG, 1H, SO.

Another shutout for the Dbacks, losing 2-0. Kennedy pitched a good game, only gave up a homer to Pujols. Upton lost a fly ball into the sun which helped with the 2nd run.

Blergh.

Aaron Hill just hit for the cycle and the Diamondbacks are beating Seattle 7-1. Miley once again is pitching a gem. The Diamondbacks can get pretty healthy this homestand before they go to Atlanta next week.

I didn't understand it at the time because it seemed like they were addressing a minor need in lieu of the hole at 3rd base.

I still don't understand it but I'm glad they did it.

FO should consider offering Parra and a prospect for Lonnie Chisenhall. Probably too late to try to and snag him. Kid can hit and the Indians are finally giving him an every day chance.

Seattle just intentionally walked Hill to load the bases so they could pitch to Upton instead. He struck out. He also hasn't hit a home run since May 23rd.

Crazy game tonight. Currently tied at 8.

Been out of town, what's this deadspin thing they keep referencing? I'm guessing the answer will be very dumb.

Grace has been featured on Deadspin at times for a few different things, just search google and deadspin...

Also, Upton can not get any worse for this team. I officially can't stand his attitude or ability.

Dear Gibby,
When they intentionally walk a batter to get to your #3 hitter and it appears to be the right move, it's time to make a change.

Upton is clearly beyond reproach, and it has to piss everyone else off who actually has to earn their spots.

If Upton were even performing at an average level, we'd be at least several games over .500. He's single handedly undermining this season.

Even worse, he's just so petulant and moody, it's really hard to root for guy that's so talented and so unlikable when they're underperforming as badly as Upton.

It's amazing that his "performance" hasn't gotten any national attention, it's a nightmare season for him so far.

14 runs today, awesome. My only "ugh" moment was when Upton finally hit a homer (or just a timely hit in general), he gawked at it like he's the bomb. You get a pass to do that if you've been awesome all season, but not when you have less home runs than Hill, Goldschmidt, Montero, Kubel and are tied with Parra and Young.

Oh and last night when they walked Hill to get to Upton and then Upton struck out? LOL!

I thought the exact same thing today while watching him standing at the plate gawking. I guess that was his way of booing back at last night's crowd. No class!

When he struck out with the bases loaded following the intentional walk last night, he walked back to the dugout with his gum hanging out of his mouth and the look on his face seemed to say to the fans, "I'm getting paid millions of dollars to do this. What are you earning?"

He is the only player who has kept one spot in the batting order -- the important #3 spot. I sure hope the front office has told Gibson to do that in order to showcase him for a trade. There must be some GM who thinks he could collar his potential and control his immaturity and temper.

Saunders to the 15 Day-DL, Dbacks bring up Triple A pitcher (forget his name) but it's not Bauer.
