For the record, Isaiah Thomas told me yesterday that his top three choices are the Lakers, Suns and Dallas. Very interesting trio.

Apparently the Suns want him to backup Bledsoe and Dragic. If they do sign him, say goodbye to Smith.

I figured with the drafting of Ennis, Smith was a goner.

But Smith is on a really cheap contract. I think the Suns are exploring trading one of their PGs.

We want to improve the team, not reduce our payroll..

I'm saying Ish Smith will only be payed $985,000 this season. He is a nice insurance policy that does not hurt the payroll. However, the Suns do have a team option.

Tucker is most likely going to get more than that.

If I had to guess ... 3 years, 16-18 million. Somewhere in that range.

Right on the dot. 3 years 16.5 million signed today.

That's the name I was trying to think of yesterday Mainstreet!

Anthony Morrow is a great shooter when given time to set up. He can shoot outside with the best of them.

Agreed. Wouldn't mind him on a cheap long term contract as the Green replacement.

Why replace Green? I love watching him play.

I'd love to keep him too, but he's on a cheap contract that ends after the next season and I think he will command more int he $7/8 range if he repeats his performance from last season. Now with Green that's a big if. I really enjoy him on the team though so I feel like rooting for him also means saying goodbye.

If we are looking for shooters we ought to consider Jordan Farmar, who is an FA. I never thought of him as a particularly good 3pt shooter but he's shot 44% his last two years in the NBA - he played in Turkey 12-13. His assist rate was well higher than Dragic and Bledsoe last season, though that might change in our offense. I don't see him being highly sought after so we might get him quite a lot cheaper than Isiah Thomas. I recall him being quite good at pushing the ball though not as good as Thomas.

I hope we bring Randolph back - and I suppose we might if we don't sign any PF FAs. Seven years in the league playing 7-10 mpg irregularly so he's never had a real trial. Still, he's steadily rebounded 10+ per 36. Never a big scorer but his offensive effeciency is above average for PFs.

I'd like to say his defense at the rim is good but on the basis of the 96 minutes he played for us, its not good at all. So we'd have to hope that was just the result of the tiny sample size. He did challenge a lot of shots however - almost as many per 36 as Plumlee - so he was trying hard.

Everything about last years team I read stated Tucker and Frye were the locker room/team leaders so getting Tucker locked in after letting Frye go was more important than I've seen anyone else state. His contract isn't bad but it may be a little more than he's worth from a production standpoint. Considering his locker room influence and attitude in addition to some of the outrageous deals others have signed this summer I don't think anyone should be too disappointed with it.

Randolph still under contract for another year. Don't know why he would not be back unless he is beaten out for a roster spot come training camp.

Good insurance at the 4/5. None of the FA power forwards seem interesting to me.

He is, but it's a team option. I guess it depends on what moves they make this summer.

Now that Lebron is going to Cleveland I hope the other chips start to fall. We are going to find out or confirm some things about the state of the organization based on the free agents that are out there.

The Suns need to start hard core pressing their Plan B and Plan c right now. I bet things just start to snowball.

Now we need to get Bosh...

If not well then Monroe and Turner or Pierce maybe.

Rockets still have to trade Terrence Jones, Jeremy Lin and Motiejunas to offer Bosh the max unless they let Parsons go.
