Wait....from what I've read Rubio wants out of Minnesota. Does Minny go with D'angelo Russel with the number 1 pick?

no way. If they can pair a possible dominant wing with Wiggins with a possible dominant Big, that's how you build a title winner.

Sigh.... I don't know why I allow myself to hope for a miracle when it comes to the Suns defying odds and getting a top pick? But, I might as well bitch about the last time the Suns had the 4th worst record they fell back to the 5th pick. The Lakers in the same situation move up to 2nd. Sigh...

I'm actually not that worried about the Lakers. That franchise is on their way to being the West Coast version of the Knicks. They're grossly incompetent from top to bottom.

if Minnesota can get anything for Rubio they'll be better for it. I love Russell, but IMO Towns is the best player in the draft and it's not really close.

The West just keeps getting better.

yup. Although Russel with the Sixers could give them a pretty promising Big 3 with potential for a dominant guard to go along with two potentially dominant big men. Noel came on HUGE in the second half of the season (still think we screwed the pooch passing on him, even though I have hopes that Len can be a solid player).

The Suns could have drafted at fourteen I believe, so it could have got worse.

I didn't watch the lottery. The Suns must be the most unlucky team in the NBA. I try to spare myself the pain whenever possible.

I guess we will get to see if the Suns lotto luck finally changes next year. With a lot of the other bottom feeders in the West sure to be improving exponentially, it has to be even money that the Suns go into the lottery next year as one of the high favorites.

Unless Warren somehow emerges as a star in his second year (not likely as long as Hornacek is coach), or they hit it out of the park with the 13th pick (also unlikely), pretty sure the Suns are going to be abysmal next year.

I think a lot of people would be fine with that. What's worse (and likely going to happen) is that they hover around on fringe playoff contention all year and end up in no man's land again.

If Suns are going to be abysmal... you definitely rather have that abysmal team consisting of young players, so they develop with huge minutes. Rather than be abysmal and have the youth still only playing 10-15 minutes.... totally wrong direction there.

In a van...down by the river.
If the Suns were paying attention to the top players coming out, and had the *******, and the long term outlook to concede a truly bad season, and to know when to fold up tent, they'd make they're own luck and be in position to draft a Okafor/Towns.
It's no coincidence, nor is it luck that the Lakers will be drafting one of these promising young bigs.

LOL your sig is from a post of mine from a forum in which your perma banned.....I love the irony :p

I can't believe you think that's the worst post of mine. You must not be looking hard enough.

If I wanted to I could dig through and find your posts about Magic Johnson not being a PG or a C and your Robin Lopez proclaims and all that but don't have time for it right now.

SF88 banned

Not sure what your point is, the fact that you know yourself that you post even worse stuff than saying that there are "too many blacks and euros and too few whites" says a lot.
And again why would I care? I got banned on realgm for "invading the Celtics forum" because I got in their trade thread and told them that we were not going to take their scrubs for Dragic.

LOL why? I thought according to you, Dragic is a scrub? Just like Gortat was a scrub? And just like Jerry Colangelo was an inferior owner to Sarver? :biglaugh:

And please, the mods on the Suns forums have banned you numerous times for trolling and creating dupe accounts. I know this because there was a conversation on you and your dupe accounts about a year or two ago when you started creating dupe accounts there once again.

And LOL yea way to take that post completely out of context and not even having the balls to quote the whole thing (not that I wouldn't expect any less from you). Next time, you should quote a post of mine that doesn't have numerous and-1s which means others on that site also agree with. Considering the premise of that thread, hardly anything wrong with my post.

You realize that you have said much, much dumber things than me right? I don't even need to go on another forum to find stuff, I can do it from this very forum itself. From Magic, Gortat, Colengelo, Lopez, Sarver, ah, probably anything Suns related :D

Okafor/Towns next to Randle is a nice young front court with ton of potential.

You don't even understand the ridiculousness of your post, I feel a little sad for you right now.

I think Kominsky is a likely bust, but I think he has a much better chance at success than Cauley-Stien. That guy didn't improve at all in 3 years for Kentucky, and all reports paint him as a dunce. If he was 2 inches shorter he'd go undrafted.

He changed schools in HS specifically because his grades were so bad, but he was reportedly on the honor roll at UK. Of course so was John Wall who admitted later he didn't even know what classes he had when he made the honor roll.

Yeah if they don't take Towns I'll be surprised.

So who should the Suns draft?

Assuming that Towns, Russell, Mudiay, Hezonja, Winslow, Johnson, Turner, Stein are off the board when we pick I'll say

SF - Kelly Oubre

Why? Tucker and Marcus Morris are just too limited. Warren is too unconventional to be a full time star at SF unless he explodes on the perimeter somehow.

Kelly Oubre looks like the BPA to me. Best prospect available. Good size, well rounded talents for his position, athletic, young and star potential.

Sounds like he would be a good choice if he is still there.
