I can't imagine the Warriors trading away any of their big 4 away without giving it a shot for at least two full seasons or someone gets disgruntled and asks out.

I think the Warriors are missing Harrison Barnes some. His D was a nice balance on that roster. Durant is a fantastic offensive threat, but his O comes at the expense of other players on the floor.

Also I think the Warriors are missing a stopper in the middle right now.

Yeah Bogut was no world beater but I think the Warriors miss his presence in the middle.

That's the problem with most NBA gm's. They think that if they lose (even though they were a very good team) they have to tweak the roster. Pop would have recognized the synergy of that roster they had last year and kept it together. They just needed to improve at what they already do.

Joel Embiid is looking very good. He is a monster rebounder and shot blocker. He also seems to be a good defender. He has a Shaq like presence on the court but he can make free throws.

But can he stay healthy?

Joel Embiid is averaging 18pts, 7.3reb & 2.3 blks per game. The last player to do that through first 7 games of career? Shaquille O'Neal.

Amazing thing is that he's doing it while playing on minutes restriction.

I feel bad for Gentry. I think I'm the only one who believes he's a good coach. The underperformance of the Pelicans is difficult to understand, so maybe he's at fault.

He's definitely not as bad as the Pels record would indicate but as someone else mentioned, they've had a boat load of injury problems. Jrue Holiday coming back will help, but they need some semblance of stability with their lineup badly.

I think the Pelicans GM deserves more blame than Gentry (who I don't think is very good of a coach either).

Signing guys like E'Twan Moore and Solomon Hill to overpaid contracts isn't the right way to put a decent roster around their superstar Anthony Davis.

Can someone explain to me why TJ McConell is in the NBA? What a waste of space. He makes Stauskas look athletic.

The Warriors problem is not really the starters though it's the bench. They're averaging 88PPG from the starters which leads the NBA, but the bench has not been nearly as good as last year. Iggy had a great game against the Raptors so hopefully he's finally going to start to play offense, his defense is still great but he's been terrible on offense this year. I love McCaw though which begs the question how poorly coached was UNLV the last few years, too much talent to be that bad.

The Raptors game was absolutely comical from the refs. Derozan drives in takes 4 steps falls down walks to the line to shoot FT's. At the end of the game the Warriors players were standing there hands up and a Raptor would jump in an get FT's, it kept the game close enough that Kerr couldn't just get kicked out to protest the refs.

I know just about zero about McConnell but he does appear to have some play-making skills averaging 4.6 assists the past two seasons. Play-makers are not always measured by athleticism.

The Suns play the 76ers tonight, so maybe we can get another look at him.

Ouch. Too many players in front of him. Doubt he got time to work on his defence.

If he cannot get minutes on the Suns or Pels, well, you have to question whether his talent is NBA level.

I can count the amount of quality NBA guards who are not good outside shooters, passers or defenders on zero fingers. He is fast... and he can get to the line... but his game never progressed beyond there. It's almost like those parts came too easy for him and he became totally reliant on them rather than developing anything else, either that or Calipari was right when he called him uncoachable.

League average FG% over the last 20 years is .450 (noting guard fg% is probably a bit lower than this)- BK's career average is .415 so statistically he's bad.

Even in his best two seasons in Milwaukee he only averaged .427, although that's a lot better than the .399 he's shooting in the 2 and a bit seasons in Phx.

The Ws had 47 assists last night. Guess the last team to match that number?
