Is it a fair statement to say if len could just hit the jumper from the elbow he'd be much more effective? He's a career .720 ft shooter (.792 this season) so would have thought it's just a matter of time before he becomes a bit more automatic.

When he doesn't hesitate, that shot is money for Len.

I think part of the reason the team has been feeding Chandler down low is to get them accustomed to doing so when Len is on the court. He gets fed the same when he is already, maybe seeing it happen from the bench will help his progress.

When Len doesn't hesitate or shoot of his backfoot or fade away for no good reason, he makes it more often that not. But he just doesn't have enough confidence in it to take it straight up.

It's a delicate shot for anyone, let alone a guy that's 7'1" and he's only in his third season, and he's a reserve...I'm confident he'll get there at some point cause of his nice stroke, good ft% and relative lack of game time to date.

Looks like Harrison Barnes is indeed that next James Harden type breakout player. I did not see that coming.

Would be amazing to have a guy like him at the 4 position since he can defend positions 1-4 at a very high level while also score the ball well. McD may have dropped the ball on this one but congrats to Mark Cuban for getting it right after some failed gambles on Parsons and Matthews.

The Mavs are still trash though plus Dirk is nearing the end. Barnes is nowhere close Kobe/Lebron let alone Harden to carry a terrible supporting cast.. They should look to trade him at the deadline and sell high.

it's only 2 games although admittedly he does seem to be enjoying his role there. His problem with the Warriors and at UNC was always he can't score off the dribble so people just run him off the jumpshots because if he drives he almost always misses. IN the Cleveland series he compounded that by missing all the open jumpers too.

He's a better player than he showed against Cleveland but I don't think he's as good as the 34 and 31 in his last 2 games would lead one to think.

The Warriors don't really miss Barnes they just miss the bench guys, and they miss Iguodala, still defends well but his offense is DOA/

I wouldn't say it's just 2 games, for the season he's averaging 20 & 6 on very good shooting while providing borderline elite defense.

They should trade back for Barbosa.

They should trade back for Barbosa.

Right but they've played 7 games and he's had 34 and 31 in the last 2. To be fair he had 31 in the 2nd game.

So he has 4 games where he's putting up 15PPG under 50% and 3 games where he's at 32 PPG shooting well over 50%.

The skeptic in me says the 4 games are more indicative of how good he really is but he is only 24 maybe he has improved. He's getting much more chances that's for sure.

I don't dislike Barnes he played hard and was very good in the playoffs the last 2 years but he had a mediocre series against OKC and a disaster against Cle and given how much money he was going to get they had to let him go.

Agree on Barbosa they miss him.

He is the free agent I wanted this summer and I was mocked for it.

I liked him a lot in his draft but I didn't want the Suns to sign him this summer either and I was wrong. I knew he was great defensively already but didn't know he has this type of offense in him.

The Suns add PF Johnny O' Bryant to their D-League roster. He played two seasons for the Bucks and is listed at 6'9" and 257 pounds. Also he is only 23. I'm glad the Suns are looking to develop such players.

The NAZ Suns added Johnny O'Bryant to the roster for Saturday's home opener. The 6-9, 257-pounder played 66 games for the Bucks last season.

I like the idea, but I wonder what Sac thinks he is worth.
He's been awful. Only good thing about him is that we'll have him for two more years than we do Len under contract.

I'd steer well clear of WCS. Three years in college and he didn't improve, if not for having been a part of the Kentucky hype machine IMO he would have been a late 1st round pick.

I feel bad for Gentry. I think I'm the only one who believes he's a good coach. The underperformance of the Pelicans is difficult to understand, so maybe he's at fault.

They were the most injured team in the league last year and they're up there with Utah for most man-games lost this season.
