If healthy, that is a reasonable contract for Motiejunas.

If healthy, that's a steal of a contract. It has 3 team options and just one guaranteed season meaning Motiejunas can basically be waived any summer.

I agree. Let's upgrade that contract to a "steal." :)

76ers tromping on Detroit 60-35 in the third Q... I mention it because its probably the biggest lead they've had all season... its also likely that they'll snatch defeat from the jaws of victory..

Minnesota is also giving GSW a good game early on. I'm surprised Minny is losing so much this year... they've got the talent and I figured Thibs would get them out of their rut. They really have a losing culture to combat there. Every year (for the last three) they've lost far more games than their statistics would suggest and it's as strong as ever so far this year. Their stats are pretty close to Grizzlies' but they're winning less than half as often. (The Grizz are overachieving about the same as the Wolves are underachieving.)

In and ESPN article from Marc Stein and Ian Begley.

The NBA and the National Basketball Players Association jointly announced Wednesday night that they have reached a tentative agreement on a new collective bargaining agreement, pending ratification by the league's players and team owners.

The sides have agreed to extend their mutual deadline to opt out of the existing CBA, which was Thursday at 11:59 p.m. ET, to Jan. 13 in order to give them sufficient time to review terms and hold the separate votes required to ratify the seven-year deal, which contains an opt-out clause for both parties after Year 6.

On Wednesday night, the joint statement from the league and the union stated that specific deal terms would be released at a later date, but sources said a prime feature of the new CBA is a number of measures designed to help teams retain their current stars.

It looks like there are some good things in it for players and teams.

I like expanding the roster to 17 to allow for players to be sent back and forth the D-League. That is a big step in moving things in the right direction and allowing it to become a true farm system.

Lol - misses the first 23 games of the season, plays one game, gets injured and misses the next, suits up for his second game and starts bitching about playing time.

Noel is not making much of a case for himself. IMO, he hurts his chances to be traded by making these type comments. I think he would be doing a lot of sitting for another team as well. Who wants someone who complains when he has not earned the opportunity to play.
